3(F). 105lbs, 5’4”. No meds, no smoking. Onset of symptom was last night.

I started 0.1% adapelene 6.5 weeks ago to help with anti-aging but as expected I have begun to purge. Last night this huge ball appeared under my skin on my chin seemingly out of nowhere and it’s not insanely painful but it does hurt a bit. Is this just a big nodular zit or a cyst? I’ve never ever had anything like this. My pimples are usually small and have a head and go away in a few days. This has no head and feels deep. It’s barely noticeable when I’m just expressionless but when I tuck my bottom lip under and stretch my chin, the “bump” is obviously more pronounced. Is this just a part of the purge? How do i get rid of it?

My mom got a deep plane lower face and neck lift exactly 1 month ago. Her face looks amazing and quite frankly when you look at her face on, you can’t tell anything is “off”, but from the sides, she has these lines coming down from behind her ears that I can only describe as “pipey” or “cordy”. The surgeon says it’s normal and that these are just the platysmal bands still settling down after being redraped. I feel like those aren’t platysmal bands so much as extra skin that was left behind. I know we need to give it more time for things to fully settle, but would love some expert opinions based on these 1 month post op photos. Thank you.
