Is this Acanthosis Nigricans or Friction in my elbows?

I’ve had this problem on my elbows for a few days now, and it’s starting to worry since i dealt with insulin resistance two years ago with dark armpits, i went on a diet, lost some weight and the AN on the armpits faded away, but now i’m concerned with the same issue on the elbows.

I also don’t have AN anymore on my armpits as i always exercise and eat as healthy as a I can every day, however with this problem on the elbow, i don’t know if it’s AN or friction since i always put my elbows on some table when using the phone or on the job as i work an in-office job.

What is this on my elbow? Can it be treated?

New red marks on boyfriend’s shoulder, what are they?

Not gonna lie at first glance I thought it looked sus, but on second thought it looks like a stretch mark? My boyfriend is a little chubby now but he’s been the same weight for like a year now with no change. Is this maybe from scratching? He does struggle with acne so he does scratch.
All help would be nice!

I don't know what to do with my toe nail

When I was little, I used to go to the public swimming pool to learn how to swim. There I got a fungal infection on the big toe nail. At that time my parents started to get specialized nail polishes that would rid my infection off, but nothing worked. The time has gone on and now I am very insecure about my toe, because I grown up and it ended up in a little thick nail in a deformed toe. I told my mom about my insecurity and she get me a dermatologist doctor. That doctor told me I should get medicine to get rid off the fungus. But again nothing worked. She also put me into surgery to treat the ingrown toe nail, because sometimes it really hurts.

Yesterday, I got an appointment with the doctor and she told me that in medical terms there's nothing more to do so she gave me two opinions: or I decide to continue my life with that condition or I remove the nail completely. She also told me that I could put fake nails if I remove the nail. I have 3 months to answer the proposal.

Personally my gut feeling tells me that I should get the nail removed because it's better to dont have the uneven and yellow nail rather than having it. But at the same time I want a normal nail and I don't no if it's easier to get a normal nail with my nail or without the nail. Did I make myself clear? And I really feel that if I get my nail removed it end up in a deep hole(which will lead to the impossibility to put a fake nail), because my nail is little, as you can see in the pictures.

Help me please... If you need more information or different perspectives in photos tell me.

Can a dermatologist tell if a mole has turned from benign to melanoma under a dermatoscope?

I’m in my early 30s and had tons of moles my whole life. The majority of them are congenital, but I still get a new one occasionally.

About 1.5 years ago, I noticed a new mole on my chest. I scheduled an appointment with my dermatologist and he looked at it under a dermatoscope and said it looked fine. I came back in 6 months later and he checked again, still said it looks fine. Then I came in about a year later (a few weeks ago) and he said it still looks okay under the scope.

I feel like this mole has grown slightly over the year, but don’t have any photos to prove it. Would a dermatologist with 25+ years of experience be able to tell if it’s cancer after seeing it multiple times? Would there be a difference visible under the scope if it turned into melanoma?

Thick patches that itch and hurt sometimes.

51f. 105 pounds. 5ft. No medication. No alcohol no nicotine. Drink caffeine everyday.
I developed these bumps on the knuckles of my index fingers and some on my middle fingers. They hurt and itch mostly in the morning. they look really bumpy and thick, there is something white in the bumps but it doesn’t seem like fluid. I also have similar small dry thick patches on my knees. I’ve had this for about two months now. Is it psoriasis?

I am so scared of poison ivy

Today I was just outside setting up a shooting target and I was cutting some branches in the way of the target nothing crazy but definitely took me around 30 seconds to just cut them and press down with my boots. I was wearing cargo pants with a t-shirt. Later I’d say an hour after my dad comes by and he’s points at the area I cleaned and goes that’s poison ivy that too and there , basically everywhere… he started telling me the contamination is as bad as Ebola and you can’t sleep if you have a bad rash.. I have a final exam soon and two jobs and I’m so scared that I’m gonna get a crazy reaction. I sped home ( on the four wheeler ) and took a dawn dish soap shower , put all I was wearing in a trash bag and disinfected my phone. Is my life gonna be hell ? 😭 also right now I do not feel itchy but I know it’s starts after hours 😔

urgent any help appreciated

around the beginning of July I had developed one seemingly raised red scaly patch on the back of my ankle looked like psoriasis/some sort of eczema or dermatitis so I didn’t worry. And I believe I had one on my hand too though I’m unsure if this was a cut at first as all healing scars and cuts on my body were affected

I have scars on my body and I had healing scars too from everyday scrapes. They became very raised and itchy and my doctor said that this was Koerbner phenomenon. Ok i’ll ignore that part then I thought. at that time we tried permethrin for scabies but did not help and doctor could not see any Burrows.

started to get small Ish red mostly flat spots on my legs and forearms
I thought must be an allergic reaction because I’m in nature quite often maybe I brushed up against a plant or even that I’d been in the Sun quite a lot mostly avoidable as it’s been 30° every day

I’ve been to the GP eight times since the beginning
i’ve been referred to dermatology five weeks ago and haven’t heard back yet

I have:
Tried Hydrocortisone
Tried an antifungal medication didn’t help
Tried Fexofenadine tablets
tried permethrin
Had flucloxacillin for five days
Now lymecycline
Had blood test for lupus and rheumatoid all negative
I’m not a person that typically puts lots of moisturiser on their body at all, so I don’t think it’s a product I’m using

In the past couple of weeks, the rash has changed as well the big looking welts on my arms and legs have mostly stayed the same
three weeks ago at the bottom of my feet started blistering with the same dry scaly patches on other parts of my body
i’m now noticing very small bumps covering nearly all of my body (picture at end) feet are still filling up with fluid blisters and itchy intensely a lot of the time

It covers my back under and on my breasts, waistline(pant line) Legs, Arms, Elbows, hand and feet including soles of feet (although not in between fingers and not in between toes, not under armpits either and not on my face)

i’ve tried to include pictures of how it has spread and gotten worse, but I can’t change the order of the pictures but I think it’s easy to see how it’s changed

One of the worst parts is my upper stomach and under breast, but I can’t show that on here.

and of course, really red spotty pictures are the now pictures.

This is really affecting me mentally, and I haven’t been to work in a month because of discomfort walking and wearing a bra.

my next step was to ask my doctor to do a skin scraping or something ( going privately for dermatology or to a dermatologist is not an option as it’s extremely expensive)

Baby's belly: what does this look like?

Hello; a few days ago, our baby had one small round red spot. My spouse thought perhaps had accidentally clipped his skin in a car seat of high chair buckle..we covered with a bandaid that we have switched out daily, but now his stomach looks like this... It's just gotten worse/more spots have appeared day by day.

Could this be an allergic reaction to the adhesive on the original Band-Aid? An infection/fungal rash? Some kind of baby belly disease?

I'm going to call the pediatrician first thing when they open Monday, but maybe this is a common issue with an easy fix at the drug store, And I could start helping him out right away. I don't want to under or overreact.

He does keep saying " boo boo hurts" and asking me to kiss it, but he's only one and a half. So I don't know how much it actually hurts first how much he is aware there is something there, and he thinks the procedure is that parents are supposed to kiss it better.

Thank you.

2nd Degree Burn Scar Treatment Reco

Hi, I just want to ask what your recommendations are for scar care, particularly for burn scars. My scar is starting to develop hyperpigmentation due to friction, and I’m worried that it might get worse. Could you also tell me approximately how many months it may take for this burn scar to fully heal?

HELP !!!!!

I don’t shave with a razor, I use a trimmer, and while trimming I felt the trimmer blade was slightly painful on the skin in that area. Around 2 days ago, I started feeling a small tender spot on my neck that felt slightly burning or painful when I touched it, although it was not very visible at first. Since then, it has become more noticeable and red. I also noticed a similar spot on my cheek. I could feel something there yesterday when touching it, but it became clearly visible today. Both areas have some small bumps and feel slightly burning or painful when touched. I want to know if this could be irritation or inflammation from using the trimmer, folliculitis, or something else such as herpes.

What are these red dots?!

I have been to 3 different Dr's with no real answers. My pcp said it was related to my iron deficiency (though I didnt have them until I started supplementing, yes I did change to see if I was allergic to original one). Dermatologist said it could be hormones even tho lo was 2 months away from being 2 and stopped breastfeeding at 7months. Hematologist said it cant be blood related and looks like a rash. Anyone have any idea?

Widespread dark spots on balding scalp over 4-5 years. Dermat diagnosed Seborrheic Keratosis and suspected Follicular Lichen Planus, but terrified it could hide skin cancer. Looking for reassurance on these signs.

Hi everyone,
I’m incredibly anxious about multiple dark brown spots slowly multiplying on my 48-year-old dad’s balding scalp over the last 4 to 5 years.
The patches are flat and smooth, varying in size and shape—including a large, uneven central one. They don't expand rapidly, itch intensely, burn, or bleed. A few normal hair strands grow straight out of some patches, though he has general hair thinning across the center of his head.
We saw a dermatologist who didn’t seem bothered at all. He brushed it off, saying it is just seborrheic keratosis (benign age spots) and suspected follicular lichen planus (follicle inflammation). He didn't order a biopsy or any further testing.
My anxiety is still lingering because of the large, uneven shape of the central spot and the fact that hair isn't growing through every single patch.
Given the 5-year timeline, does this truly rule out skin cancer?

Please give some clarification everyone is ignoring the posts

Inflamed shoulder bumps/acne??

Has anyone dealt with this issue or know what it is and how to resolve it? I’ve been dealing with this for years and cant find anything that helps. I’m 27! Is this even acne or could it be folliculitis or something else? Here are a fee symptoms:

-bumps get inflamed and then calm down in a cycle
-some of the worse ones are tender and will pop
-the only place i get these are on my shoulders and upper back, i dont have acne on my face or anywhere else on my body

What i’ve tried:
-products: panoxyl, salicylic acid body wash and spray, glycolic acid, anti bacterial soap, dove unscented bar soap, free and clear laundry detergent, exfoliating towel
-washing hair first before body, washing bras more often, cotton tops, hormonal birth control

Cyst or nodular zit?

3(F). 105lbs, 5’4”. No meds, no smoking. Onset of symptom was last night.

I started 0.1% adapelene 6.5 weeks ago to help with anti-aging but as expected I have begun to purge. Last night this huge ball appeared under my skin on my chin seemingly out of nowhere and it’s not insanely painful but it does hurt a bit. Is this just a big nodular zit or a cyst? I’ve never ever had anything like this. My pimples are usually small and have a head and go away in a few days. This has no head and feels deep. It’s barely noticeable when I’m just expressionless but when I tuck my bottom lip under and stretch my chin, the “bump” is obviously more pronounced. Is this just a part of the purge? How do i get rid of it?

First two pics are pulling chin tight and last two are expressionless.
