lymphedema

I feel like I keep posting with strange questions :-)

I had my prostate removed in Dec 2024. This was followed by PE's and a lymphocele which lasted about 2 months. I also had swelling in my right leg. My doctors all told me that the swelling was not a problem and not to worry about it. Later in the year, tests showed there was still some cancer, so radiation was ordered (6 weeks) and I completed that at the end of Nov last year. Now my leg has gotten even more swollen. It's about 40% bigger than my left leg.

Doctors still don't seem too concerned, but it's causing some aching pain and tingling, which makes me think a nerve is being affected. I walk, drink lots of water, and I've worn compression socks (although they are very uncomfortable and hot in the summer). Has anyone dealt with this? What did you do? This list has been a great help as I try to fully recover. Thanks to you all!

Radiation side effects

Hi. I had my prostate removed in 2024, followed by 30 doses of radiation which ended November 26, 2025. I also had ADT, but the 6 month injection "ended" on March 30. I know that the side effects of the ADT will take a while to resolve, but my problem is similar to a problem I had during the radiation - bowel issues. This includes unpredictable trips to the bathroom. I thought it was getting better, but now, 6 months after the end of radiation, it is still an issue. I'm trying lots of things: controlling my diet, taking probiotics, fiber supplements, but nothing seems to really be working. My doctor just says that it will take time.

Has anyone else had this issue? How did you deal with it? Any help would be welcome. Thanks

I discovered an old recipe book from the 1910s-1930s. All the recipes are baking recipes. They all refer to baking temperatures as "moderate" or "low" heat. I'm not sure how to decide what temperature to use. Any tips for working with really old recipes?

I hope someone has some advice for me. We submitted an I-129 for R1 status (Religious Worker) for a beneficiary of our organization. It was approved (as many have been in the past). He went for his visa two times. The first time, they did not approve it. It seemed like the staff wasn't too sure what they were doing. We then requested another appointment and we got an appointment at another embassy. When he went for his appointment, he was told that additional processing was needed (something that has never happened before). It says:

"Your application is pending Additional Administrative Processing. No appearance required. You will be contacted via email if additional documentation is required. When additional administrative processing is needed, time for completion will vary."

I have no idea what kind of additional processing would be required. Any ideas what this might be and what the outcome could be? We have had great success in the past with both applications and visas, so this leaves me a bit confused. I should say that our employee is from Bhutan, which seems to make things more difficult, but other than that, there were no issues in the initial processing. Thanks!
