This is how this 40 year old gamer plays... Don't Look Up! 😬

I don't have the time to be as good as the younger people who were raised on this game, so I need to think outside of the box. Luckily, people in the late stage of the game rarely look up. 😳

Thanks for making my first stream so fun... 💕

Thanks so much for everyone in this super supportive group. I had a great first stream on Twitch, and even though I didn't win a single game with my silly builds, tomorrow is a new day. And, I was able to be me!

Tonight's the night... First stream... What can go wrong? 😬

I've been working on my set up for a couple of weeks now, trying to get myself set up as a streamer, solely to give my feminine side an outlet.

My capture card has arrived, my lights are set up, microphone working... very nervous and still expecting lots to go wrong. Got to start somewhere though.

I am fully expecting to be talking to myself tonight, and for the foreseeable future, but I'm excited anyway. I'll be dressed up, playing Fortnite, and I can't wait! 😊

First Streaming Set Back (But some progress)

So, I have been excited about doing my first stream on Twitch and have been expecting my Capture Card and Audio Interface to land today. I expected the odd glitch since nothing is ever simple. A missing HDMI lead, an adapter needed. Nope, the HD60S is not compatible with the Macbook Pro M5... instead I need the HD60S+.

I know it shouldn't, but it felt like a massive gut punch. Streaming will give me an outlet to be myself in a way that isn't hidden away.

Fortunately, my audio interface works great and combined with my NTG2, I think I'm getting a nice sound into OBS. Just need to wait for the delivery of the HD60S+.... hoping it lands by Friday. I have a day off work and I'm really wanting to get this all set up. Apologies if this is an incredibly boring rant... just feel so gutted, all because of a + sign.

How Common Is This? 🤔

I realised I was gender fluid about a month ago and since I live in a rural village with my own family, I don't think it's worth sharing that part of me amongst people who wouldn't understand. So, I have been looking for an outlet to be my feminine self.

I have been a videographer for many years and haven't once wanted to be in front of the camera. I hated the way I looked and I hated my voice. As Quinn though, I feel confident and social all of a sudden. So, naturally I have gravitated to Reddit, signed up to Twitch, ordered a capture card and I'm excited to get started streaming games.

Has anyone else here followed this path? Is it normal to be so different as the other half of yourself? Also, does anyone have any tips on getting started as a Twitch streamer? lots of questions... anyway, Hi, I'm Quinn x x x
