Trailer of Mechs V Kaijus 2 + PLAYTEST invitation

Hi Tower defense Community! Wanted to share the trailer of my new game, Mechs V Kaijus 2!

Here you can see the new modern art route I went thru, 2D sprites with normal maps, on a 3D terrain with pixel art textures. Making the Sprites react to light shadow and fog. It is a big steep up graphically from the first game.

But with this, the game is fully in 3D space, so real bullet trajectory, arches and distance come into play!

In the trailer can see, the new towers, modular mechs that you will be able to build in the futures updates, army creation and control with huge amounts of tanks and vehicles.

You can move and command units and finally the mechs! Tanking direct control of any Mech, giving it a huge boost.

Nuclear Warfare with Nukes vs Anti Nukes Mechanics

The new main mode is vs the Kaiju HQ, it grows, builds defenses, spawners, farms, refineries, and the Kaiju version of Nukes!

Nacho here, solo dev / small studio from Uruguay. I made Mechs V Kaijus a few years back and have been quietly building the sequel with massive improvements and from the ground up. Not a single line of code from my first game. Wanted to share the progress (first build of the game, just some economy towers and energy connection system vs the epicenes is now)

MVK2 is a 2.5D RTS/Tower Defense — 2D sprites on 3D terrain — where you command mechs against waves of kaijus. The big additions over the first game:

— Full RTS layer: you move and command units, not just place towers

— Mission/map editor (think Warcraft 3 style), so everyone can make maps too!

— New enemy AI: The Kaijus now colonize the planet, build bases, farms and refineries.

— 3 resource circular economy. Energy, Metal and Ammo. So you now need to really build your base.
— Army building with control, Tanks, Jets, Drones, that can be automated or control directly.

Heading to Steam Early Access this July. Demo at Steam Next Fest in June.
