Hello everyone.

A few days ago, I bought the new Toyota CHR 1.8 hybrid. Since this is my first car with an automatic transmission, I haven’t quite gotten the hang of it yet. My friends who own automatic cars told me that when parking or stopping at traffic lights, I should first apply the brake and then shift the gear into neutral (N). They explained that when parking, I should press the brake, shift to N, and then press the brake again to shift to P. However, I’ve read that this isn’t necessary with ECVT transmissions.

Long story short, I’d like to ask you for advice on what I should be careful about when using an ECVT.
