Experimental macOS Tahoe 26 on a 2017 MacBookPro14,3 (T1) — Apple Account, GPU, Wi-Fi, Audio & AirPlay working
This is an experimental research project and not an official OCLP build.
I am testing macOS Tahoe 26 on a 2017 MacBookPro14,3 with T1 using a heavily modified OCLP T2-based fork.
Current status:
Internal display/GPU working
Wi-Fi working
Audio working
AirDrop working
AirPlay working
Continuity Camera working
Apple Account login from System Settings working
Password authentication inside apps working
macOS is currently usable as a test system
Known issues:
Touch ID authentication is not working
Sleep/wake can cause the internal display not to wake correctly; an external display can restore the picture
I have been testing different OpenCore configurations, T1-specific patches, boot arguments and components from several experimental projects. The goal is to understand what is actually required to make Tahoe usable on this T1 Mac rather than simply providing a one-off workaround.
Hardware: MacBookPro14,3 — 15-inch 2017 Touch Bar / T1 / Intel HD 630 + Radeon Pro 555.
