This plant is very aggressive and has been creeping over to my property from my neighbours. Last year I could see it climbing my neighbours foundation and under their siding, so I would like to prevent it from spreading to my house.

Google seems to think its Japanese Knotweed, however, I haven't seen any mid-summer growth that resembles this weed.

Location: Northwestern Ontario, Canada

Plant details:

• New growth looks like red asparagus
• Roots are very deep and thick
• Mid-summer growth is vine-like, with leaves that look like grape leaves, and tendrils that help it climb and stick
• Can completely take over trees and shrubs
• Can grow in dark places such as behind siding
