This is just a what if scenario, but what if Capcom picked up a bunch of ex-Ninja Theory devs when Xbox shuts them down? Could be for something as simple as a current gen remake/remaster of DmC using Definitive Edition as a base just to gauge if anyone would be interested in a potential sequel.
With Sony announcing the shutdown of the PS3 store, FFXIII's DLC across all three games is bound to become lost media for a while. Which brings me back to when Square responded to a musician Alex Moukala when he said he wanted a FFXIII trilogy remaster before any other game gets a remake. Square responded with the image shown, which with how things are right now with Square, you think it's possible this could be coming next in the pipeline? It's a long shot, but for years people have asked for this. It's the only FF saga that isn't on current gen hardware.
Edit: Sorry for poor wording, what I meant is that the DLC will be inaccessible on PS3 for those who wanted to experience the game on that system. My bad y'all
