How would you describe the battle system to someone that’s never played it before?
I’m making a game that uses the same combat as 13 and I feel weird calling turn based but also don’t want to call it action!

I got the game for super cheap recently and while I played the original at launch on 360 and got all achievements, I am excited to do the same thing and get them all again!
I'd like to try the FF13Fix but not quite sure what it adds. The game runs beautifully on my Claw. Also, how would I go about installing it? The install directions for it on the github are not super detailed...
I'm live with part 10 of my 100% playthrough of FF13 on both Youtube and Twitch. finally making it to Gran Pulse
In this playthrough I will be teaching tips and tricks as well as showing some other things you might not know about.

Today I share with you the ability to play the Trilogy with debug functionality on PS3, as well as being able to play XIII's Premium Showcase mode. More info in my video! I hope this spawns in some new videos/discoveries in the games. Have fun and a beautiful blessed day.
Im watching Koefficient play through the game, and it is sad and frustrating to see him ONLY use general attacks and medics; rarely use sentinel, synergist and saboteur.
Hey, so i finished 13, and for me it was a mixed bag. I didn't find the linear nature of the game an issue. I mostly liked the characters with some exceptions.
I also didn't mind the combat system that much, just a lot of missed opportunities and weird choices, a bit repetitive, and it took way too long to get mildly interesting.
The music and visuals were enjoyable. The story was just there, i didn't get invested in the world, too much important information was hidden away in the logs and the cutscenes and story progression felt slow and unrewarding.
So all that said, i didn't hate it, but i also didn't like it. The question is then if i should try the sequels or will it be more of the same?
A commission I ordered from Keriisarts.
Imagine if she joins a decathlon.
I know the AI is one of the biggest gripes for players of the series. What other aspects do you wish the game did differently in combat?
Even though it's not a game I played until my 30s, or played the most, FFXIII hits my nostalgia and comfy gaming buttons the hardest. The music, art design including color palette, and graphics in general bring back good memories of 15 years ago when I finally got my first HD gaming setup, playing on Xbox 360. FF12 is my favorite FF game, but FF13 is special to me.
Even aside from nostalgia, from the get-go this game always feels so comforting, I make a nice coffee, lay back with a good meal in me and lose myself for the day.
It's a game I can pull out every year. Every song is catchy and sticks to my brain like peanut butter. Every area is a joy to look at. Every button push makes a sound that gives me a little burst of satisfaction.
I genuinely cannot beat this mission, I have noticed after like mission 1 each one has gotten way harder but I thought yeah maybe that was just something wrong with my strategy, I get to this mission I use Lightning, Fang, and Hope, that does not work they summon in the Ugallu and then I can not keep the party from dying even while healing, so I try Lightning, Snow, and Vanille a little better but still fail as it spawns in the Ugallu and then I can not keep up healing the party and fighting. What do I do, I genuinely want to drop this game like I am feeling zero enjoyment from playing this after doing this mission like 10 times.
Needless to say that I should have died.
I bought it from kaioland
I mean, legally of course because I cannot find my copy of the Promise, the one that was set before the events of the first Final Fantasy 13 game as I feel like I am missing out on something.
Like what I am getting at is that even though I did play the first game and beat the last boss, I was looking to see what supplementary material I needed to see to learn more about the lore of the game since again I have been having a hard time finding my physical copy of the prequel.
So I was just hoping I could still legally read the books digitally because I don’t want to sound like I am condoning something illegal, but I just want to get into the novels.
