What are you guys favorite YA novels about sabotage?

So sorry if this was asked here before because I have come to appreciate the kind of novels in YA fiction where a teenager gathers together a team to take down a gang of crooks.

Like one of my favorite novels is Aces Wild because even though it’s taken a few months to finish the book, I am almost done with it as I enjoy how it uses the premise of being about an ordinary guy trying to figure out how to take down someone much older than him.

However, I was wondering what other good young adult novels exist with a similar premise of again the theme of sabotage where a young man must assemble a team to take down evil gangs where despite his young age, he is determined to find a way to beat the situation because I really enjoy novels with the premise of teens vs adults.

Movie franchises that could have ended a lot sooner

So I was just observing how some franchises in cinema start off with a couple of sequels at first as the franchise is doing alright, but then there comes a point where people start to get concerned about the franchise due to it going on forever.

Like what sticks out to me lately is Fast and the Furious because I was hearing some fan complaints on some online forums saying how it looked like the franchise didn't know what to do because correct me if I am wrong, but the saga hasn't quite ended just yet as I only saw the first film so far, but now I am concerned about what will happen to the franchise.

What are you guys favorite calzone places in Park Slope?

So to provide a bit of backstory, I was missing Gino's Pizza since while I know it's been a couple of months since that particular place closed down around Park Slope, I was looking for a successor of sorts that could offer a similar experience with piping hot pizza such as pepperoni calzones.

However, if that pizzeria didn't serve calzones, then please correct me because I was just looking for some pizza places in the Park Slope area that again could serve as a good replacement to the late Gino's Pizza.

Where do you guys go in Brooklyn to get comics?

Just curious because I like to build up on my manga and USA comics collection as I live a bit near Mill Basin, and I was looking for some stores in Brooklyn where one could find indie comics that are not superhero based.

How were the PPG supposed to beat the Ministry of Pain?

I just don’t understand the episode when I look back at it now because the episode had villains that used their old status to commit crimes as correct me if I am wrong, but the PPG couldn’t defeat them for some odd reason.

JRPGs that stick out to you for using strange planet tropes

So to start off, basically I was just looking to discuss JRPGs where the team consists of a group of humanoid creatures such as tigers and lions because I found the concept of strange JRPGs fascinating.

Like after Breath of Fire was cancelled such a long time ago, I became interested in seeing what other big name RPGs existed with the aforementioned concept of a strange planet where the planet the game takes on operates in a unusual way due to humans being scarce as I miss the franchise for its turn based nature.

What Konami game in the 16 bit era did you enjoy the most?

Just wanted to have a fun discussion on Konami’s older games because I was fondly looking back at their Contra games they made back in that era.

Like when I look back at Contra 3, I don’t know how the game managed to be so well designed because the set pieces are so well made, like the motorcycle stage early on.

Suggest me D & D style anime

Of course I am referring to the tabletop game specific just to be clear since I am so glued to video game RPGs such as Disgaea that I was looking for an anime that feels like an RPG based game.

Like what I am looking for is an anime that is outlandish in nature where a group of characters go an adventure to stop an overlord from destroying the world kind of plot because it sounded fun to me as a concept.

Looking for romance novels about catgirls

Man I hope I am in the right place because I am looking for some wholesome fiction about a guy who goes into a different world where different species exist.

But after the protagonist gets sent into a different dimension, he runs into a cute looking catgirl as I am just looking for a story that is not afraid to be kinky.

What sites do you guys use for online catalogs for finding cons?

Just looking for some advice because I live in the East Coast of the USA as I want to make sure I don’t miss out on any anime cons from NYC because I haven’t been to a con in a long time.

What are the key factors that let the games sell well?

So I was having a moment of observation to see what are the key factors to having a JRPG this game sell well since I was curious to what made the modern era Tales games sell so well.

Like when I look at a franchise like Disgaea, it kind of struggles to sell high units as I noticed that while Tales of games are drawn in an anime style, they managed to sell good units overseas, but Disgaea sells far lower despite being a JRPG with an anime aesthetic.

Why did MMX9 never come out?

Just never understood why that sub series suddenly stopped hard because I remember how about 3 and a half years after Megaman X8 came out, Megaman 9 was finally released.

So my point is that I am trying to figure out why there is no love for Megaman X in particular since Capcom announced a new game in the Classic series, but again MMX is still absent.

So what is a good moe anime to watch after seeing ONIMAI?

So sorry if this was asked here before because yes I know it's been well over 3 years since ONIMAI had it's first season as the issue for me is that I don't know what anime one is supposed to watch next for the moe goodness.

Like I can handle fanservice with outlandish humor as long as the show has again a moe nature to its art style since I was looking for another cute slice of life anime after the aforementioned Onimai show ended a good while ago.

[Recommendation] Recommend me a romantic Isekai show

So basically what I was interested in seeing was an Isekai anime with soothing romantic elements where a guy accidentally gets sent into a strange world he is not familiar with, but slowly gains a love interest during his journey to return to his world.

However, I don't want something that is super long since Re:Zero looks a bit too long after checking out the size of the original novels as I was looking for something that was easy to get into since it can be either a novel or anime again that is not too large in size.

What are strange moments in the Monogatari franchise that stick with you?

Yes I know when it comes to the Monogatari series, it's known for its quirky nature as something that I wanted to discuss were the kind of moments that were so surreal they confuse the viewer for being hard to understand.

For me personally, my favorite moment is the infamous toothbrush scene somehow I am not disturbed by the scene, but rather fascinated at how wild the scene gets due to having seen clips of the two sibling *ahem* getting intimate with each other as it's such a strange scene that I somehow wasn't put off by it.

Suggest me an emotional type game

So lately I was interested in exploring an RPG that has a strong emotional aspect to it in which the game starts off as whimsical at first, but slowly becomes more emotional in tone.

Like what I fondly recall are some of Squaresoft’s older RPGs from the 16 bit era such as Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 6 because those were my favorite games in that even though I beat them way back in the early 00s, I still look back at them fondly for how emotional their storytelling became.

Systems that I would like to play a gloomy game on are SNES, PC, Vita, and 3DS as to better clarify, I am looking for a JRPG that can make their audience feel emotional as a core concept while delivering turn based gameplay because I was looking for a game kind of like Chrono Trigger.

What are your favorite early 90s games that are about demonic culture?

Lately, I was looking back at some older games from the early 90s era for how they depicted demons because I just found the concept to be interesting.

Like for me personally, one of my favorite games from the 16 bit era is called Shin Megami Tensei as the games involve bonding with demons since careful negotiation can earn the player a powerful ally.

Times when movie adaptations felt nothing like the source material

So basically I was observing how some big screen adaptations of well known works take a rather bizarre approach with the source material by deviating from it.

Like one that suddenly sticks out to me is the 2003 adaptation of the Incredible Hulk where it’s hard to explain, but it feels so strange since during the movie, the Hulk is portrayed in a calm manner as the adaptation didn’t really do justice to the character.

Favorite unusual licensed games

So basically I just wanted to discuss licensed games that were done in a very unusual manner by focusing on a part of the IP such as background characters.

For instance, there was an SNES game based on the Itchy and Scratchy show within the Simpsons as said characters are from a show within a show.

Trope name for artist that goes from big to obscure

I know this sounds like a real world trope as I couldn’t help but notice a pattern with some game developers because there have been some big named ones who went out to form their own studio as suddenly their career fell apart.

Some examples are Keiji Inafune, Leslie Benzies of Rockstar Games, and Yuji Naka since all 3 were people who used to be fairly successful in the gaming industry until they made their own games that caused them to fade into obscurity.
