And y'all really like it more than the rest? I thought 2 and 4 had better stories and characters as a whole. And mechanics wise I also think it's lower in tiers. I mean etna is still awesome but other than that I didn't really care for others. Also really jarring to go from having evilities to not.

Maybe it was just hyped up to much for me with how much everyone says it's the best. So I finally bought it on sale and it was fine, but I thought it was pretty average.

It is nice having it on my switch though. I got to bust out my psp to play 2. It's be nice to get a 2, 3, and D2 collection on the switch so I can just play all of them on one system.

So I have gained access to just about all Omega moves in Disgaea 5 and I played D2, 2, some of 3 and 4

I am seriously confused on who those summons are

Are they like FF summons and have official names

Are they some sort of deity?

Hey everyone! I’ve recently started collecting the mainline Disgaea games on PlayStation (from PS2 to PS5). Right now, I’m sticking strictly to standard/deluxe cases so I can keep a clean, uniform line-up on my shelf while still having the games ready to play.

Disgaea isn't huge where I live, which actually worked in my favor: I picked up a brand-new sealed Disgaea 6 Deluxe Edition (PS5) for about $24 USD, and Disgaea 7 Deluxe is sitting around $38 USD (and likely dropping further).

Out of nowhere, a local marketplace seller listed brand-new sealed Limited Editions for both Disgaea 6 and 7 (PS5) at original NIS retail price. Price wise, it’s a great deal because importing them directly from NIS America to my country would cost me around $80+ USD just in shipping and fees.

I’m really tempted, which brings me to a genuine question for fellow collectors: Are the Limited Editions actually worth it in practice?

I get the appeal of soundtrack CDs. However, for the extra physical trinkets like artbooks, posters, and cards, do they actually get appreciated past the first look, or do they mostly end up boxed away? It consumes storage space as well.

The standard/deluxe cases already come with mini guides that you can look at (plus D6 Deluxe having a physical CD inside the case).

Just curious about how one would fix that game because don’t get me wrong in that the game is still a lot of fun to play for its post game section due to the LOC zone for example, but I feel like the game could use a remake. (Sort of)

For starters, if that game ever gets a remake, I would like to see the Felony mechanic addressed because while it sounds good on paper, the mechanic became a bit frustrating to use since it’s hard to explain, but units must go through multiple portals every time they want to get experience boosters. (The Statistician Innocent was way better as I don’t know why it got changed in the second game)

But for me, I feel like what needs to be addressed the  most in a redone version of the game is the story as while there are some bright spots in the game’s story, I feel like it’s a bit weak as it’s hard for me to explain, but the story could have used a lot more polish, but that’s just me adding my two cents.
