Playing in order
I am thinking about getting the atelier games on steam! Do I have to play them in order and which one would you recommend starting with?

I found an English report of what Gust’s Comiket 108 booth looked like and it seems like it was actually pretty cool. Anyone here happen to go? (On a side note, why, oh why, didn’t they at least offer exclusive limited edition CDs (or animated Blu-rays) of the Ryza and Klaudia ASMRs…)

Dunno if it’s rare or not, but i just found Atelier Sophie PS3 JP version unopened in used store for like 1700yen (around 10 USD)
What do you guys think? is it a good find?
Hallo, i was just thinking about how there's barely any year gap where at least one atelier game doesn't release even if they're a side game and/or remasters and remakes
for example:
• 2018, no main game but atelier online came to be
• not exactly a remaster but the gap of 2021 was filled with atelier mysterious trilogy deluxe pack
in 2024 we didn't get any games, but we had the Yumia announcement during summer of 2024 along with not even a month later having an announcement of Resleriana (not the gacha) technically making up for the year gap by releasing two games within 2025
so,,, what i'm trying to say is that, i would like to see a remake of an older game such as Mana Khemia either within 2026 or again, by making up for the lack of a game within this year, having a second one in 2027 along with Karia.
that gets us to another discussion which is, if there is a possibility of a game coming out later during 2026 or next year along with Karia, which one would you want it to be?
a remake? an original? perhaps Resleriana 2? maybe remakes of the other Salburg games?
of course tho i understand other people's opinions on probably getting nothing in 2026 due to blue reflection but yeah-- one can only dream
Hello everyone! I'd like to share some pictures of Ryza having fun in Atelier Ryza 2 DX."
Im pretty curious.....
i'm a big fan of stera, but It doesn't seem like theres a lot of us.
fan is to broad, but what I mean is like an 'oshi'.
do we have some person on here who stans/has them as oshi of every atelier protagonist?
Just finished playing through Ayesha (my first Atelier) and while I was fine with the time limit to resolve the main story I'm a bit annoyed that the game still ends after the 3 years and doesn't just let you do what you want after it.
So i just wanted to ask how many other games have this set game length.
I see lots of posts asking "which game should I play first..." or some sort of variation. I would suggest that it wouldn't be bad to start with Resleriana, hear me out, not a huge Atelier person, but...
I play a lot of games. Some to completion, many until I get bored and move on. I do not linger on lore and do not need to play game 1 of a series to then play game 4, I do not need to understand everything in a game to enjoy it.
I first heard about Atelier when Ryza 3 hit. Purchased Ryza 1-3 at the time but never played. Tried Ryza later but the hype and Ryza EVERYWHERE just sort of put me off.
Yumia came out and I got that. Tried it a few months after I tried Ryza, put in about 20 or so hours, I like it, I can see why core Atelier players don't. It is currently in the "if I have some time and feel like it" place right now for me, maybe I'll get back to it, maybe not.
Purchased Resleriana when it came out, did not know anything about the game, simply saw Atelier and new in the same sentence and picked it up. Loaded it up last week and haven't put it down since. Again, I can see why core Atelier fans don't dig it.
But as a casual fan, I really like it. Synthesis is easy enough for me to do it somewhat correctly, I like the cheat in Yumia when you can auto add. I digress.
I really like the different Alchemists that show up and even though I don't know most of them it adds a pile of original [to me] characters to keep it fresh. I also like the map and the way you interact with it.
Yes. there are negatives, finding the damn swing points sometimes, gotta be real, Rias outfit is horrible, and managing the f'king store at least to me is awful. But I didn't post this to outline negatives, most games have them.
Just wanted to say as a casual gamer and fan that I like the game. I don't see much posted about it here so I am only assuming that there aren't many playing it. But, if you're new to the series I would suggest that this isn't a bad place to start, you'll meet a lot of different faces and it's pretty casual.
Just my 2 cents.
I've been looking at the game files and testing mostly item/property related stuff for the end game and figured I'd write the stuff that apparently doesn't exist on the rest of the internet. Formatting's gonna be pretty rough, but some people on search engines might enjoy this. I'm gonna call the effect stat quality like in other games because localizing it as effect was deranged.
General:
Property based effects like Tasty Healing and Calming Effect do scale with overall item power like base item effects. This includes things like item quality, properties like Destruction Up and skill power bonuses (up to 100% apparently).
This also applies to accessory base effects (probably not all). Treasure Grimoire's Skill Boost S scales from 20% to 25% at max quality, for example.
Weapon properties:
Skillful Attack adds +5% to combo damage rate and 25% Skill damage, Fatal Attack adds nothing, Forceful Soul adds 10% to CR. Comet Attack adds 12% CR and an unlisted 15% to skill power.
Accessory properties:
Wind Soul adds 15% to crit -damage- not crit rate and 33% to hit rate. Night Lord Soul adds 25% to crit rate and either has a 10% chance to reduce wait by 25% or a 25% for 10%. Dark God Soul reduces wait by 10% (for skills which may include basic attacks but probably doesn't include items). Absolute Senses increases crit chance by 15% and hit rate by 30%. Ancient Power reduces physical damage by 10%. Holy Soul reduces all damage by 10%.
Armour properties:
Heroic Soul looks like it "increases abilities" (+ damage dealt and -damage taken) by 7% at all times and seems to add an additional 7% damage (not DR) against bosses. I believe that's all enemies that play a boss theme (possibly except boss theme 1).
Item properties:
Sweet Taboo reduces turn wait by 10%. Angelic Healing is bugged and either acts as an auto revive or just adds 25% to the survival chance (maybe just once)? Either way, it's hot garbage and not worth spending 5 hours building around as a lynchpin of a superboss strategy.
All Stats Up S increases one pool of stats by 12 and another by 25. I'm assuming it increases physical stats by 12% and resistances by 25% but I'm not sure. The physical stats might increase by a flat 12 instead of 12% too. Attack up S only increases it by 15% (or 15) so it's probably not worth worrying about, but Def S is 30 and Speed S is 50. You could consider applying those in addition to the All Stats Up. Element Res S are 30%, so assuming the all stats' "25" is elemental resistance they're probably not worth bothering with.
This is all just info on stuff I found potentially interesting. I might be able to answer some other item/property related questions, but I probably can't answer skill or calculation related stuff. I can't seem to find where they're kept.
I am finding this game incredible from a scale and story perspective, but overwhelming from a synthesis perspective.
My main issue right now is super traits. I am rebuilding a Svate Rod (Ryza's 2nd weapon). Ingots are used to unlock the Super Trait slot. In a Link Morph (a concept I'm also still just starting to experiment with) I've used an Amatite Ore to give the weapon ATK+ nodes, and in one of those nodes I've added an Ore that has a super trait.
So: Super Trait node unlocked - check. Raw material with a super trait I want added to a node - check. So when I go to complete the weapon, why am I not able to apply the super trait?
(I also backed out of the Link Morph and tried it on the regular Svelt Rod nodes - same thing happened)
Something I've just spotted is when I'm selecting a material (Amatite Ore) some of the super traits are greyed out, others are not. I don't know why some are grey, but I assume that means that trait can't be applied to the final product for whatever reason. So I added two ores, each with a different not-greyed-out super trait instead (hoping to force a choice) and nope - when I go to complete the rebuild, I still get no option to review/select the super trait after the normal traits screen.
I'm honestly overwhelmed by how convoluted the synthesis is in this game. As much as I loved 2, even that got a little much (I never saw an essence do anything but pointlessly change a node's element, despite how much of a deal the tutorial made about how great essences were. But it never mattered; the game was easy enough) - but this is a whole order of magnitude more complex. I'm so confused, but I'm really keen to not miss out on what might be a really fun mechanic once I understand it.
My other question is about the massive amount of SP it takes to get anywhere on the skill tree. Eventually I did use some infinite gems and rapid SP exploits to unlock a few key nodes I was after, but if the game was played "properly" it'd take forever to unlock even the basic tree, let alone the advanced one, right? But once you know the exploits, both trees can be completed extremely rapidly without ever having to leave the atelier or progress the story. Seems a bit self-defeating. Am I missing something? Is there a "legitimate" way to get decent SP from just crafting what you naturally use?
Oof. What a game. But also: what a game!
Hi! This is not particularly new, but I haven't found an high resolution illustration of this one, so I decided to share it. It seems it was used for a Library card, as far as I could investigate (source).
In any case, it's a picture of Annie and Lise from the DS Series.
Hello there, finally decided to give the Atelier saga a try and started (and well.. restarted haha) Atelier Rorona (once I understood how things seemed to work between advéturing and alchemy).
For instance I didn't get that you had to deliver more items than the 3 requested and found the first three month eaaasy (turns out it wasn't haha). But I didn't restart once I reached this point. Anyway, my questions :
- As far as I understand my rating every three month will impact my ending, is it over for a perfect ending since I did the bare minimum the first time? I am at 6 or 9 month already so I don't plan to restart, just curious.
- I just talked with Etsy and it seems I can hire her to go on an adventure. Yet I don't see the option ? As far as I understand she wasn't available in the base game but the DX switch version should allow this. What am I missing ? Will she be available later ? She is fun, I want to have her join :/
Thanks for your answers ! Feel free to give other advices, so far I find the game tough but don't plan to use a guide but any help appreciate
Just as long as it doesn’t reach Metal Slug levels of morbidly obese. “Oh-ho, BIG!”

It feels like some of the flaws erase part of what people liked before in this series in order to become mainstream while also being flaws.
I've been datamining the game and made this spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Wp_CJLVTDdh1-I53mBpdHzpI47c2k_aQOhFDz8Zj6sw/
It has the damage formula, enemy data, character data, effect/trait values, and whatever else I might feel like looking into in the future. You can finally know what the differences between MinDMG, MaxDMG, and ATK or how powerful skills are.
Planned for the future are finishing up skill data, ordering the events to match the encyclopedia, and locations for monsters and items. If you have questions please ask them here or in the Discord. You can DM me if you want but the more visible for people that might have the same question the better.
I am thoroughly enjoying it as a fan of hack n slash action roguelikes, Musou games and it only helps that Atelier characters are a part of this package.
It's perfect for when you need to unwind a little bit and just mash buttons.
I usually put a podcast on my iPad and grind this in the background.
The screenshot is from the first time I've cleared the main run of the game.
