What is the significance of the opening theme song?

Just really curious because lately I have had the first season’s theme song stuck in my head as I was trying to figure out what the song meant regarding its main character Lina.

It’s just something that I find interesting regarding the song as I know it’s performed by Megumi Hayashibara, but I have no idea what the song is about since I don’t speak Japanese too well.

If Lina's party fought each other to the death, who would win?

No Giga Slave or Ragna Blade for Lina, btw.

Halcyform vs Rezo (not Copy), who defeats who? 😎

I personally think Halcyform, but this is an interesting one. Let me know who y'all think would win in the comments!

Wow, this is probably the only magazine spread of princess Gracia/Naga I have not seen before! Managed to remove the blurriness.

Something I find interesting about Slayers is how it basically peaked at the second season

Maybe I am wrong about that because I was basically doing an observation on the anime series rise and fall regarding when it reached its peak as I was wondering how the second season was basically the magnum opus of the series.

Like once TRY came out, many fans of the anime aren’t exactly too kind towards the season since it barely has any resemblance to the novels as I was wondering if that killed off the anime back when the third season aired.

Then from I gathered about the modern anime adaptations made in 2008 is that criticism was given to Lina’s character since apparently her character was basically flanderized by having her negative side be given a far greater emphasis in the then modern era of the anime series.

My point basically is that I wonder if Slayers can ever have another iconic season like the older installments since something I never understood was why it became so difficult to make another season like the first two seasons since again the third season was largely non canon as I really miss the anime series.

I was today years old when I realized the title Slayers "Try" is an attempt at a pun, because it's the 3rd season (phonetically it sounds like "tri" in "triangle" or "triceratops")

When did you get hooked?, and what sets Slayers apart from other anime/or other fictional series?

I was personally hooked by the first episode, but I didn't REALLY get hooked until Zelgadis was introduced (so perfectly imo). I think that the way the characters are flawed and the character development showing their good sides while all having their issues is what sets it apart from other anime and fictional series. I know there are other series that do that too, but the way it was repeatedly pulled off in Slayers is what caught me the most?

What made Slayers TRY so infamous?

So I was basically trying to observe the history behind the anime series to see when it last peaked in quality since I wanted to look into the third season specifically to see what made it kind of infamous.

Like if I am not mistaken, the previous seasons of Slayers didn’t strictly follow the canon from the novels they were based on as I was wondering what exactly made the TRY season stand out since I sometimes hear fans saying that they prefer to avoid it altogether for some reason.
