I really hate how amazing this thing is
Like, I have a Steamdeck and pc, and jumped on this for like a good DS solution, and now here I am playing steam games on the damn thing.
It’s bad at doing like games from the past few years. But otherwise, is this like the one stop shop console?
🚨Scam alert! + warning signs
Might’ve been said before but there’s one reddit user, u/Neypotzli, and his discord is Vulconus, who is trying to scam people. Thought i’d warn people and show signs for future buyers who might get messaged. Think he regularly makes new accounts so look for these signs.
Often uses the excuse that he “doesn’t want to sell it to scalpers”
Asks to move to discord, gave me the excuse he couldn’t send photos here
Sends photos of him selling other people stuff like Valorant accounts, don’t believe it
Even if they send a piece of paper next to the device with your name on it, don’t believe it, he fakes it although i don’t know how.
Make sure you only use PayPal goods and services. Don’t let independent buyers move you away from this, it protects you. This guy said he would but tried to get out of it later.
Says they’re not selling on ebay for whatever excuse
Fairly low reddit account age
Also they try to build trust, asked me about fifa when he saw it on my discord. Just be wary.
Hope this helped someone
I'm glad I took the plunge
The Ayn Thor is the first handheld I don't regret buying. And I have a long and heavy history with portable consoles. I've had and still have the RG CUBE, the RG 40XX H, the RG28H, the Retroid Mini (the original first version =\ ), the Retroid Pocket 5, and the Odin 2 Portal. But the Thor is the point where I felt: ENOUGH. WE'VE ARRIVED. I'm home.
Thor just arrived as I was eating breakfast, and my day has been made
Batch 6, arrived 7 days after shipping email. Rainbow pro!
USB-C to HDMI lag
I am getting lag (intermittently) when plugging up to the TV. Sometimes it will run fine but most of the time it has too much delay to be playable.
How to get fallout NV to run full-screen
This is gamenative and the game just runs in this super small frame.
Would I ruin the SD Card if I have it connected to a micro SD card reader to run games?
Hey everyone, so I wanted more space on my Thor so I decided to buy a short cable and micro SD card reader to add my big ass library of switch games and PC games. Extremely unnecessary and overkill but I like having a lot of space cause I like testing out Steam games. I do notice that the micro SD card connected to the reader can get hot. Would this in anyway affect the Thor or SD card in anyway? Thanks!
How long did the shipping take for you?
Just curious to see about how long it took everyone to get their Thor after it shipped out? I’m part of batch 6 and it just shipped recently and I’m super excited to get it lol
Aliexpress and AYN shipping difference
I swear June 1st was a special day for AYN. I’ve heard many people that ordered on June 1st are getting their Thors pretttty quick. I ordered a black 512 on June 7th from Ali and (as expected) I haven’t received any updates whatsoever. Just a little confused on the Aliexpress end.
As i said, I don’t expect it to come to me in the blink of an eye and hell, i haven’t even passed the one month line, but i’ve encountered a couple people who are confused on the Aliexpress orders as well.
If anyone has any info on the June 1st-10th sale, lmk!!!
Ori Eden Settings
Sorry for making this post guys but I can't find any help on this anywhere. I'm having these weird texture issues on Ori and the Will of the Wisps whenever I come across water. Does anyone know how to fix this on Eden? I'm using T28 driver.
A neat and wonderful little device.
After 4 years, I finally say goodbye to the ROG Ally. The Ally served me well and I loved it, but it really was stuck in a grey area. Compared to the Thor, the Ally is far more powerful, but not powerful enough to play newer PC games at high settings, while being too overkill for emulators, aside from super heavyweight ones like PCSX3 or Xenia (yet these were too heavy even for the Ally).
And so, I decided to switch to the AYN Thor as a strictly emulating machine. Luckily, I was able to get it within a day from a local place. Here are my experiences after using it for 2 weeks:
- The performance is just right. The Thor can run basically any emulator under the sun, aside from some big names I mentioned above. It really doesn't need to run something even the Ally struggled with.
- The Thor is very compact and light, only half the size and weight the Ally. It's barely bigger and heavier than my phone (keep in mind it's still a pretty huge machine in the Android world).
- While the screen of the Thor is smaller than the Ally (6 vs 7 inches), it has two of them, and is way better at playing 3DS games, and many more things if you are creative enough.
- The Thor use much less power, plus an OLED screen, and thus, has way longer battery life. The Ally can barely survive an hour without an external charger. It was a good machine, but wasn't good at being portable. If I want to game with a charging cable, I can just use my laptop.
Overall, it is a solid little gaming device and wow, it made me feel just like the first time I own a 3DS.
Sneak Peak: Custom Backgrounds in Megingiard 0.6.0
Since my last sneak peak was met with quite some interest, I thought I would share another one!
In the next update of Megingiard, you will be able to use custom background images for your screen mirroring / macro / custom button setup.
In the picture you can see my updated setup for Genshin Impact, where I mirror the minimap to the bottom screen and put all my macro buttons around it while topping everything up with a tailor-made background for my exact use case.
You can find out more about Megingiard on my GitHub! It's free :)
Steam Sale
Hey everyone!
Im looking for more Rogue-lites to play on GameNative. Two styles I enjoy a lot are Hades, Megabonk, and DarkScrolls. Im looking for your super obscure recommendations. Ive played the common titles we see recommended a lot. Id prefer them to be under 5gb for handheld reasons and likely run on my Thor. Bonus points if they are under $10 on the Steam sale currently.
Let me hear what you enjoy!
June 8th Aliexpress
so basically ive ordered a black max 512gb from aliexpress on june 8th and seen alot of people that ordered on june 1st get theirs shipped really fast, does anyone know an estimate of when mine might ship? also ive been checking the discord every day and the 512gb models are back on track with the other models so shipping will continue to be as usual
How are u guys attaching ur styluses? To the bottom or to a grip? Or maybe some weird creative way I haven't thought of!

Quick question I was thinking about playing some steam games on my thor arriving today. I’ve never touched steam before and I also have a MacBook that I use to set my portal and soon Thor. Can I play steam games if I don’t have a pc to use I.E the MacBook is for work so I don’t store or save any programs on it. So in short can I put or play steam games off my Thor without having a pc to play from
questions
hi guys,
i had pre ordered batch 8 (hasn’t even started shipping yet afaik)
i had ordered the base version, with intent to play mostly emulations of pokémon roms/ron hacks but obviously now seeing the thresholds this device can reach, i’ve been thinking about playing some gacha on it like genshin/zzz/wuwa etc, ive even started thinking about switch games/ps2/lighter pc games
does anyone have any experience with these games? if you think base willl be inadequate, is there a way to cancel and get a stronger version etc? would you recommend it? thank you!
Ayn Thor lite pc streaming
Bit the bullet and bought one for batch 7 wondering now if I should return it or keep it since I’m hearing mixed reports of how the device handles pc/ps5 streaming. I already have a 3rd and ps vita for my handhelds but wouldn’t mind playing something like rdr2 or pragmata on it with my super beefy pc from bed. Just wondering if anyone has experience with the lite or if I should upgrade to the base.
