So, I just read the latest translation by Js06 and I can't help but be utterly infuriated and wonder if Kamachi has just pulled an Akira and completely forgot the existence of the Othinus arc.

Touma... of all people, of ALL people, should understand Hamazura, he was in his EXACT place. More than that, he was in objectively a even more extreme place as unlike Hamazura. HE WAS WANTED BY SEVERAL GOVERNMENTS AS A RESULT.

Othinus, is Touma's Coronzon, she was wanted dead by the world, she wanted to destroy the world and remake it. Everyone tried to kill her, the world banded together in order to accomplish this.

The ONLY difference, is that she was saved, not by touma, but by the magic gods who realized they f'd up not stopping her.

So why... why... WHY is Touma, who only a few volumes before FELT GUILT AT BEING UNABLE TO SAVE CRC.

It feels entirely out of place, it just doesn't fit anything kamachi has ever done with Touma before. So i SINCERLY hope theres a good explanation for it, they mentioned the whole, demon energy stuff several times. And how it could possess someone, sure Birdway claims it's gone, but she wouldn't be able to detect it in Touma.

And if that is the case, if the whole, Sit... whatever stuff is in touma, that would be a clever twist. But Kamachi's writing of late has left me feeling very doubtful he's even considering this stuff. He's completely botched any character continuity, like with Mikoto wearing a that whole ice rink outfit for no reason cause she was 'cold'. You know... despite her being shown to use microwaves to warm herself before? Or with Othinus attacking Touma while he's being assaulted by Anna Sprengle. You know, despite Kamachi himself saying through comparison to the Mathers. That she cannot mistaken the meaning behind his actions or words... which means she is physically incapable of blaming him for the actions of others

Also... Fucking having Touma punch Narthex was just bad tastes, that was a hug moment and we all know it.

And this all sucks, because this series has immense potential, theres so much good to be had. Yet again and again, Kamachi drops the ball because he can't seem to keep his own damn continuity straight. Does he just not check back his own work? is he Akira? this better not be a 'lol i forgor' situation. It doesn't help that it appears all of his editors and artists are only interested in pushing their own agenda to goon for their favorite characters.

But anyways that was just me needing to vent, if my whole 'touma possessed by demon energy' theory is true, don't tell me. I'd rather discover that on my own, and even if it isn't don't tell me. As long as theres a good explanation for why touma's acting completely different from how he did mere novels ago I may still accept it.

But if there isn't an explanation, i would like to know so I can set my expectations lower again.

Just as the title says.

And please, don't mention he loses to Aleister,coronzon,aiwass,magic gods etc, that is already well established stuff.

And only use canon spells. So even if the magician should know it given they are knowledgeable people (Mathers, Aleister etc), but haven't shown using it or it wasn't specifically stated they knew how to use it, than they can't use it as a ability , I want to prevent people just spamming "every magician knows basic curse type spells so they win".

Imagine a scenario where every magician fights him at the same place OT3 happened. Magicians like styil who need prep time to be at their strongest can prepare beforehand to unleash their canon strongest spells (innocentius for him).

And please don't use the top tiers who even current accelerator would have no chance or at best a very hard time against. So no: magic gods, fiamma, ollerus, etc. If you want to, you can make a disclaimer on your posts saying you won't include character X,Y,Z since they stomp anyway.
