Which is the biggest firm from the prank call victims that is still in business

it seems several of the businesses the prank call victims were running or working in closed, like herbert baibonds, datboys? from chris the hacker, and from what i saw even duncan construction in oklahoma closed as well, for a & s roofing not sure which one they called but it seems to be closed too but might be misinformed,

i think the biggest one that is still going is aku tiki inn from karen the boss and bert the office clerk but not sure, theres also the cleveland police department 3rd district from officer ed powell

Any Fred Herbert experts here? I have a few questions...

I’ve been listening to Fred the Bail Bondsman on and off for a few years. He is easily my favorite character because of THAT VOICE. It’s crazy how the original dialer was able to land on this guy and capture so many beauties.

I have a few questions about the origins of some of his lines.

  1. “Gregory Stevens” sounds natural when he says it properly. Then there’s, "ᴵˢ ᵗʰᶦˢ ᴳʳᵉᵍᵒʳʸ ˢᵗᵉᵛᵉⁿˢˀ" It's crazy that he switched up his tone to sound like a mouse. What caused him to do this? Was he trying to read a bad screen, or was he trying to sound like someone else?
  2. The odd-sounding "Can you hear me?" The inflection on this line is so bizarre...it sounds like a completely different person. Does anyone know the context?
  3. The unexpected laugh. During his "see the neon clock in the window" line, someone lets out a chuckle. Where did that laugh come from? And why has it never been edited out?
  4. 101soundboards options. Which “Fred” soundboard on there is your favorite? It drives me crazy that the "Ultimate" board has so many mistakes, which I can only imagine would make the board harder to master (e.g., "For her harassing phone calls" instead of "Stop these harassing phone calls," or "I'm fred or burton i’m a bail bondsman"). Are there any better, properly spelled alternatives on there?
  5. Not really a question, but I've grown to hate the "John read the receipt wrong" line. When I hear it, it usually sounds crowbarred in and out of place. It kills the rhythm. Why do people feel the need to drop it in no matter what? Personally, I feel this line completely interrupts the flow of the call, yet I’ve never heard it abridged, which would be better. "Is this the way you act? Is this your way of getting out of your responsibilities?"
  6. Would it go against the spirit of the soundboard community to completely normalize the volume of Fred's clips? Personally, it bugs me when one statement is immediately followed by another that sounds entirely different, making it seeem like he walked to the other side of the room. Or is keeping that disparity considered part of the challenge of running the board?

I think the youtuber, This is your son Carlos Walnut, is turning into a master like his namesakes. I think he finally fixed the ending of Fred’s phone number recitation to make it sound natural. He flattened out the "2264" so the up-speak at the end isn't there anymore, making it sound like a statement instead of a question. My only critique is that I wish he wouldn't cram a 'Fredism' into every single pause. It's okay to have empty air sometimes. Let the conversation breathe. How can we isolate the victim's responses for future prank calls if he's stepping all over them? But that's my only complaint! He's using the board like a maestro.

Besides Carlos and This is Your Son, who else are masters worth checking out?

And I just love the fact that even as I’m writing this, somewhere out there Fred is dialing a random number and making some poor mark sit up when they hear his booming, "Can I get some help-- please?"

Let me know your thoughts on these!
