Bulletarium is a fast-paced, retro-style FPS packed with pixelated carnage, relentless demon-slaying, and old-school attitude. Take on the role of a nameless rookie resistance fighter and do battle with hordes of alien invaders and demons. Uncover a terrible secret that plagues the planet!
Hey,
I've been working on my game for some time as a solo developer in my spare time. It's a fast-paced arena FPS with waves of enemies and some gore elements. Next week I'll be part of the Indie Show Case at the Game Access conference in Brno, Czech Republic. What do you think, is it appealing enough? Would you like to try? If so, come find me at the Indie Showcase booth and try it yourself! I would love to know what you think. Wishlist on Steam for news about upcoming public playtest!

Thanks!
I made a (Completely free) trippy and corny SciFi Open World Adventure FPS, and on my quest to show this, uhm, "trailer" around and get some feedback i thought you people on here might be a good fit. If this is too far off the regular "Boomershooter" stuff, my bad.
You can download the thing here (Windows only):

Cheers.
I noticed a post about my old mod but it contains the wrong link. I tried to recreate Shogo mad gameplay on Half life 1 and i think i succeded to a degree but i lacked solid vision on story, mod is a bit incosistent.
It has crude transitions between levels and if you dont pay attention to what characters say, you might miss what it is all about. There is no puzzle to solve, levels are just arenas full of enemies and sometimes few allies and your job is to shoot all hostiles. Despite its flaws, it should be at least interesting trip for old fans of Shogo who never got sequel or even expansion...
Some levels are in MCA - big mech and other are on foot, inside buildings.
I made a playthrough of the Quake 2 N64 campaign on nightmare with 100% secrets and posted it on YouTube... Never really posted anything on YouTube I just thought it'd be fun to post for anyone who may still miss a few secrets or to use as background noise or something... Also to brag about the fact that I didn't die and didn't quick save the whole time lol
DOOM 3, DOOM 2016, and DOOM: Eternal are all Quake games, not DOOM games.
DOOM games are iconic for extremely limited movement. You can move fast but you can't jump or even look up and down. This was the case with Wolf3D and are, obviously, engine limitations. Quake comes out and revolutionizes everything.
Unlike Wolfenstein which (To my knowledge of RTCW and my experience with TNO/TNC) reworks the physics and gameplay for a more tactical, unique feel, DOOM has just adopted Quakes physics and movement identity.
I can't really explain it, but 3 and 2016 have physics and character controls similar to Quake and play more like Quake than DOOM. Eternal is a more evolved 2016, and therefore a more evolved Quake rather than DOOM.
The only NuDOOM this doesn't apply to is DOOM: The Dark Ages, which plays a lot more like 1993s DOOM than Quake. You're very fast horizontally but pretty weak vertically.
Could Quake return? Probably. But its identity has dissolved into the groundwork for DOOM, and since Eternal has peaked in gameplay, ID probably won't revisit Quake, let alone a Quake-based NuDOOM until they can somehow innovate on Eternals formula
I love this, the secret levels in blood have always been my favorite but this might take the cake for referencing my other favorite boomer shooter
Also: go play marrow if you're a blood fan and haven't played it yet
So today I bought NAM (AKA NAPALM, from Walmart), and WWII GI for like 17 bucks on Steam. I knew it had a "reputation" as something much-maligned by both general consumers and classic fps fans alike, but I went in with no real expectations one way or the other.
I will not delude myself and say it's NOT jank. It 100% is, but I don't mind that - Hell, I fucking love Witchaven, do with that what you will. But its a sort of jank you CAN get used to, if you're willing to give it the time of day.
What I appreciate NAM for, in terms of presentation and artistic merit, is how utterly different it is from other Build Engine titles. It is nothing like any other game I've played on the platform.
It is NOT by any metric a "standard romp of run-and-gun action". It has rampagey moments yes, but by and large, it is a game defined by the paranoia of it's setting. Carnage is everywhere. The VC go down quick, but so do you. It instills terror without being a horror game, and it pulls it off very well. It is stressful to play, in a way that I don't find frustrating like some games out there.
I'm not going to try and claim it's "secretly a gem" or anything like that, but it does achieve something appropriate for the subject matter, and I have to give it it's flowers for that, if nothing else.
I've heard others say that the hard-to-detect mines are bullshit, but in a game where you can save anywhere at any time, it's more of a slap to the wrist than a thorough sodomizing.
NAM is 'Nam, and I think that's the best praise I can give it.
War is Hell, and I am but a lowly sinner, forced to trudge the lake of fire.
Wishlist on Shothop on Steam. We're heading to June Next Fest with a Demo and a release around September.
I've played through Phantom Fury, Half-Life: Opposing Force and NecroVisioN - all 3 of those games allow you to carry more than 20 individual weapons in total (base HL OP4 only allows you to do that in multiplayer unless you're cheating). Are there any other shooters which have even more weapons available at the same time?
Footage taken from Daikatana, obviously.
Hi everyone, I've finished designing and fully programming the first weapon, 'the pistol'. I tried to make it as coherent as possible so it feels weighty and believable. It has a movable magnetic sight, and I wanted it to have two firing modes.
The first is the standard, standard fire. The second activates a small smelting furnace in the gun's barrel, condensing the bullets into a single, much more powerful, larger shot capable of penetrating enemies.
Each mode has its advantages: the primary mode has a higher rate of fire and, when aiming, deploys a laser sight to improve accuracy. The secondary mode, on the other hand, fires more slowly and is considerably less convenient if you want to use the sight.
I think I spent more time than I'd like to admit drawing the weapon sprites. In conclusion, I want the game's weapon system to have between two and four different modes of use per weapon to provide versatility. What do you think? I really appreciate your support. Thanks!
P.D: I've already named my video game :D 'Daughter Cycle'

The soldiers’ voices were recorded and edited by Aaron Prevails. Now they sound much smarter and more intimidating thanks to him! He's also a musician and you can check his work here:

Basically my narrative inspirations are obviously 80s horror moves, Evil Dead II ESPECIALLY.
And DOOM and it has powerups and coin economy like Vampire survivors.
Let me know what you guys think. I worked really hard on it.
Which one should I buy thanks
