Venison County - My Godot game about Appalachian deer/man hybrid zombies, backwoods black magic, and launching yourself around with a pitchfork!

Howdy!
Venison County is my 4 year passion project, and is a lovingly satirical tribute to the place that I only learned to love once I moved away (the Appalachian mountains).

Together with my best friend since the 1st grade (who makes the music), and my girlfriend of 7 years (who makes the illustrations), we've finally released Venison County's demo to Steam.

Venison County is an Appalachian horror rogue-like about deer/man hybrid zombies, white knuckle active reloads, and endlessly synergistic occult powers.

The demo can be played at:

And its associated presskit (clips, transparent PNGs, etc.) can be found at:

Thank you for reading!

(And if you see this, hi Joe! Thank you for all that you do for the indie dev community.)

Earlier this year, I dropped out of college to work on my four-year passion project full time with my best friends. IGN and GameSpot just co-streamed my game's free demo launch announcement. It's called Venison County and it's a love letter to the FPS games of my childhood.

What's your favorite thing about PC gaming?

What made you choose PC over console? For me, I prefer PC gaming because of the massive indie catalogue. Would love to hear some other opinions!
