The devs' constant clash between actual cultural presentation and what they think it is comes down to one thing. They don't have at least one person on their team who can bring up a serious conversation about it.

It's such a shame because I know and we all know how hard they work and how talented they are. But I guess this is the time I accept the fact that they aren't going to get it right every time. It would be easy for others to say we're ungrateful and some of us might be, but it literally takes one Google search and one encyclopedia swipe away from learning what is what and how is how.

I also get the point with some comments saying the devs are trying to bring stuff that looks good on the body. But their greatest weakness when it comes to representing certain cultures is the fact that they're putting out what they think things are like. And that absolutely results in overly generalized and shallow versions of rich cultures. They do so well when it comes to seasonal updates. That's one thing I really appreciate about them. The updates are always a hit.

I just got gifted CM and as grateful and excited I am, I am somehow lost despite watching a lot of tutorials here and there. I leaned that ethereal, casual & bold makeup are essential but I’m also looking for makeup looks that are versatile as well as the specific looks for one theme and sub-themes. Tysm. <3
