I desperately need to charge but my charging plug is outside, and it’s raining. The plug itself is housed in a box so it cannot get wet, but the cord would get wet and the plug to my car. I’m assuming I can’t charge, but has anyone ever had to charge in the rain with the portable charger? Could I cover it with a tarp?

Looking into installing a home charger. I already have the portable charger, would upgrading my electrical be best or fully installing a home station? And for those of you who do charge at home, how much of an uptic did you see in your electrical bill?
