Zero study, just sat my CPA ethics exam... How does anyone fail this?
Potentially famous last words.
Zero accounting background (high finance career) applied for exec pathway to CPA for fun, only had to sit ethics and governance to get my CPA.
Hadn't opened the text book past page 40 and decided it looked pretty simple and stopped studying, sitting my exam at 8 this morning. Which was open book...
63 MCQ 60 of those you could easily gleen the answer but looking up the key concept in the index of the text book, the other 3 required you to have looked at a supplementary document. If you're not a fast reader / able to look up things quickly, highlighting key concepts and tabs would make this miles easier.
Short answer was 4 questions where you had to explain what the bad behaviour was from the CFO and explain how the company could fix it. Having a basic understanding of ethics and risk management would make this a breeze.
While I'm definitely jumping the gun assuming I've passed, that as the only exam I need to sit to become a CPA seems ludicrously easy.
Hope everyone else sitting had a easy question bank!
