Lifelabs experience - hwy 7 & McCowan - avoid if you can

Avoid this location if you are sensitive to heat or unwell or fasting. First, I want to apologize to patients who had to wait an additional 15 minutes because of me.

I went to this location at 7am and had to wait about a hour to be seen. The issue was that this office has no AC so the room was quite hot. The people working here have said that the AC has never worked and that it is always this temperature. When I was seen, the phlebotomist struggled to get a vein and kept digging into one without attempting another. I started to get dizzy and warned her that I thought I was going to pass out. She ignored me and I fainted. I have never fainted before.

When I came to, they didn't seem to know how to handle me. She asked if I was ok and to sit still (which I did because I was barely conscious) I had to ask for water repeatedly, and had to beg for a garbage can because I was about to be sick. Each worker came by to ask if I was alright but told me to sit still for a bit and finally gave me ice for my neck. Once I was able to walk I had my partner pick me up.

Given this experience they managed only one vial which isn't enough for what my doctor ordered and I'll have to do it again. This is not the first time I've fasted before a blood test but this is the first time I've had this experience. I cannot imagine that a hot office is safe for anyone let alone the specimens they collect. If you come to this location make sure you are incredibly hydrated or have water with you.
