My entire friends group left due to the PVP aspect keep us casual players from making any gains. Can Embark come up with a way to not get rid of PVP but allow casual player not lose their gear progress. What do ya'll think?
In Arc Raiders, Hear me out. My entire friends group are older gamers (that have gobs of money to spend on extra stuff in game) that don't have the time to keep regearing due to all the ratting and PVPing. We want to do things like the We all really like the tension that pvp brings but hate that we lose everything we took in. We have discussed it and came up with if there was an option to opt into PVP. This could look like this:
The PPL that opt into pvp can still shoot and kill non pvpers and non pvpers can shoot back. But the PVPer either can just loot what was picked up in the round and not loot the load out, or not loot the body at all. The non PVPer can not loot the pvp players body. The non pvper will retain their load out but nothing that they picked up. The PVPer that dies loses everything.
This would help reduce the amount of ratting, make PVP more intentional without making average or casual players feel like its a waste of time playing, still being able to enjoy the PVE and keeping the tension of PVP without losing progression.
