Anyone have tips on how I can make my lift cups more visually appealing, I feel like it kinda makes my shell look stupid and a little janky. I have a somewhat cone shape here that I secure with hot glue and cover with tape. If anyone has suggestions for how I can make ball shells look cleaner and more professional please LMK
Very happy with how these turned out dispute being short chems while making them
I was pretty pissed about how this turned out but at least the stars looked good
Used ERC charcoal, standard 75/15/10- milled for 8 hours and granulated at 16 mesh
Used standard C6 with a little 80-325Mesh Aluminum added to see what would happen. 15% burst with ERC granulated at 16 mesh. Not too happy with the break but happy it got off the ground
75/15/10 using ERC charcoal- milled for 8 hours and granulated using 16 mesh screen
It’s a 5qt paint bucket with the handle cut off, then it’s just 2 washers, a nut, and a long bolt for the shaft. All I do is put it onto a drill.
I had someone ask for the Process so figured I’d make a quick video. I do a lot of eyeballing when I make burst but for the most part it works great and I haven’t had any problems with it. I use rice puff cereal in place of hulls
Pretty small test batch for rice puff burst using ERC black powder
First time trying a lift bag but I’m not sure I like how it looks. Might go back to lift cups
3”x 9” shell I plan to have salute inserts as well as rings of C6 Ti stars
2” multibreak I want to do D1 glitter and possible Farfalle or N1 gold
Ball shells are already labeled
Still deciding what to do for the unfinished one
I’m in the process of building a 3” shell with Salute inserts, Im not planning on lighting it until a week after it’s completed but I’m pretty hesitant about storing flash, I keep everything in fireproof airtight containers so maybe I’m overthinking it but I want to know how safe it is. For the salutes I’m Thinking of either using a 50/40/10 KNO3/MgAl/S or standard 70/30 Perc/Al. I’ve heard moisture and nitrate flash never age well but I’ve also heard that Perc/Al is much more sensitive. I usually stick to Black powder and stars kinda builds and even though I’ve worked with flash a few times before, I still don’t have a ton of experience with it and want to see what yall would have to say. Any help is appreciated-thanks
