Apologies for my bad mic and interesting shower curtain lol. Just looking for feedback, first movement of Weber 2, not entirely but about half. Testing new equipment. It’s not perfect, rushing and cleaned up articulation is needed. My mic doesn’t pick up dynamics well.

So about 3 months ago I got a 1967 R13. plays amazing, it’s awesome. I have had a new and strange emerging issue though. I have had 3 separate barrels crack since getting it. the stock R13 barrel cracked after about maybe 3 weeks, then I got a MOBA and it cracked in less than a week. after this, I took it to local shops to see if tenons were too tight etc. they all said they were okay, but shaved them down just a tad for safety. The MOBA had warranty so I got another for free, and that one has now cracks too. after the initial stock barrel cracked I was extra diligent about instrument care, swabbing it after playing, ensuring it was put away and not left out, and not storing it in a bad environment. I’m not quite sure what the issue could be. it’s not like barrels crack every month, but here I am. I suspect somehow it is something with the instrument. I’ve played for 11 years and not had this issue until I got this R13. photos below are the two MOBAs that cracked.
