Bought the URX Core 68 HE.

Hi, I have recently got my hands on my first HE keyboard. I have no clue about HE but since I have been playing valorant (not for long because it's highly toxic and the game isn't anywhere close to CS which I actually love) for sometime now hence the decision to try out one of the most affordable HE keeb out there and see what they offer and is it really worth it.

I wasn't expecting the keeb to sound this good because most cheap HE don't sound good, even expensive ones at times and I get that. It's purely meant for gaming and but hey credit where it's due especially when it's not expected!

I guess the aluminium plate and sound dampening with their URX Halo Mint Switche gives a nice creamy sound. RGB is good or decent, not my thing really.

The keycaps are okay. I found it a bit rought and it can't be because of the contour layout because I own 2 of them and they are smooth. Probably the only thing I am really bummed about but no biggie, I have keycaps to spare.

I tried out all the features and they work quite well. It does give a smoother input which is what I really wanted to test out myself.

What really got me interested in the UI of the software and the gamepad emulator. I have still have to try and find the sweet spot for sensitivity.

It took a while to get used to but it's a pretty sweet feature because I'm very lazy when it comes to unplugging from a controller to Keeb or vice versa.

I was under the impression that these would be like any other mechanical keyboard when it comes to gaming but it isn't. I don't think I'm going to game on my mechanical keyboards anymore. They are reserved purely for work now ( they did get 🤕 during some of my intense matches during multiplayer)

If you are looking to buy this, it's definitely good given the price. If you don't care about contour, you can get it for 3.5 or 3.7 with the basic keycaps.

I have used my friend's MAD HE 68 and this is much better in terms of their own App, additional gamepad emulator, better support from URX directly.

There are other options too like Mchose Ace 60, etc but I haven't tried them

Thanks for reading my half assed review but now for the real purpose of this post.

Can anyone explain what this port for? There was a sticker on it which I have put back but when i remove it, that's how the port looks.
