Play or fight ?

My cat of 8 Sears old has a new kitten friend who is now 6 months old. They went through the whole introduction programm and he has accepted the kitten fully. They can play very nice and funny, run after eachother and go into the tunnel and all. But sometimes the older cat can get frustated quick.

In this video you see that the kitten wants to lick the older cat. At first its ok but the kitten stops, and the older cat waits until the kitten looks away and the older cat bites her in the neck.

In the other videos u see weird meowing behaviour and then biting or grabbing the kitten.
And then u see also a video of the older cat grabbing her and biting under her nek and not letting go.

He often bites her in the neck while playing. In the beginning it was alot, but it is way less now. But i feel the older cat is grumpy to him sometimes.

They can sleep next to eachother and on the same bed and all, but sometimes this happens and i find it weird.

Is it normal behaviour?

Cat acts weird to kitten

My cat is acting weird to my kitten. He starts meowing weird to her, like a nagging meow. They usually get along fine together. They play nicely, they sleep on the same bed and all. But sometimes he gets this weird episode.

Does anyone knows what this means?

Play or agression

My cat bites the kitten in her fur and holds on to it for a while. Is this normal ?

They have been introduced well and they can play nicely, eat from the same bowl and sleep in the same bed.

But sometimes my cat can be too rough.
The cat also regulary bites the kitten in the neck while the kitten is drinking .

I’m really worried about this. This is happening for a while now and I even met with a cat behaviourist to seek advice.

Does anyone know what this is ?

Cat Meowing and biting kitten

Im so worried about this !!

My resident shows weird behaviour lately where he is meowing weirdly to the kitten while focused on her, then biting and grabbing him and that can continue for a while.

Im really worried this is not a good sign.

Can anyone please tell me whats going on?

Resident cqt + kitten behaviour

Behaviour resident cat to new kitten

Hello !

I have a new kitten since 2,5 weeks. I did the full introduction process and they seem to be doing fine. They play, they can sleep in the same room and the resident cat is mostly calm when the kitten is around.

But sometimes it seems like the resident cat is playing too rough. I have made a post about that with videos where you can see the rough playing, where I ask myself if its agression or play.

But today the resident cat meows weirdly to the new kitten.

Does anyone know what this behaviour means ?

Thanks in advance, I appreciate advice !

Agression or play?

For the past two weeks, I have introduced a new kitten to my 8-year-old cat. I initially separated them and used scent exchanges. Then I used a clear plexiglass barrier so they could see each other. Everything went very well, so we had short introductions. That went well too, and for the past two days, they have been allowed to roam freely in the house. They play with each other in the tunnel, but sometimes my older cat seems to show almost aggression towards the kitten. He starts staring and stalking, then meows and bites the kitten, and it feels to me like they are fighting. I have the feeling that if I don't stop them, my older cat will continue and hurt the kitten.

This happens sometimes, but other times they play happily, and today the older cat even licked the kitten.

I was wondering if this is aggression from my older cat towards the kitten and what I should do?
