Measurements

my cervix was 24mm before stitch

today at my three week check up my cervical length was measured at 32 mm. they said the closed portion of the cervix from the internal os to the stitch measured 17 mm and the closed portion of the cervix from the stitch to the external os measured 15 mm.

what measurement do I take from this? is my cervix 32/17/16? Does this mean my cervix is measuring less than when I had the stitch placed?

Measurement help

I just had my check up at 20 weeks:

The cervical length measured 32 mm. and no funnelling was noted when abdominal pressure was applied.

byt it also goes on to state...

The closed portion of the cervix from the internal os to the stitch measured 17 mm and the closed portion of the cervix from the stitch to the external os measured 15 mm

so which measurement do I go by? I'm so anxious xx

it seems that everyone has one fitted later in pregnancy which is making me worry.

inwas measuring 2.4mm when fitted which a shirodakar. I'm worried as it was so short at even 18 weeks I don't have much time left

wondering what to expect at my fist scan after having a cerclage.

- how many weeks when you had cerclage fitted

- what you were measuring before cerclage

- what you were measuring after cerclage

thanks for your help everyone xx

I've had 3 early miscarriages (untelated to cervical length) which required surgeries. I can't deal with another loss. but I want to set my expectations so I can prepare.

I just had a shirodakar cerclage fitted two days ago, measured 24mm no funneling. since the surgery had a lot of cramps when upright so trying to lay down.

what are my chances, good or bad xx

hey everyone

i get really bad cramps when I stand up for a brief period. my cerclage surgery was nearly 2 days ago.

is it normal to feel so much cramping when upright? it's fine when I lay down

hey everyone,

new here and Im hoping you can help me with your understanding of short cervix.

I'm 17 weeks 2 days and booked a cervical scan as was feeling pressure, measured 24.4mm, cervix closed and hard, no funneling. i managed to get a cerclage that same evening.

im absolutely terrified as to what's going to happen as this is all new to me. I'm only 17 weeks and have a very long way to go. what's my chances here? Is it likely I'll have a miscarriage?

thanks for your help x
