Hollywood Casino - Joliet, IL - In for $600, Out for $2195
Have a long weekend with the holiday, so I decided to have a little fun after the Portugal/Croatia World Cup match.
Playing $66 inside. Got my money out after 2-3 hits, then pressed too the moon.
First few shooters were “meh”. I think I only got my money out once or twice for the first couple of shooters. Then the dude with the hot hand was able to step up. For the first time, I was able to get the Triple Lux pressing to go! Was able to collect at the $100 level on the 5, 6, & 8, but the 9 was where the magic happened. Was able to press that up to $500 and collect a $700 hit 😮💨. Also had the 6 and 5 ready to strike on the $500-level.
Low key, I was kind of upset they didn’t pay out a purple when the 9 hit, as this was the first time collecting one from a single hit 😍. I wanted to put that right in my pocket, ha ha.
From there kind of meandered the rest of the evening with a couple shooters allowing me to get a couple more hits at the $100 level.
All in all, a super fun night. Big shout out to the crew on the table. I’ve only played on a live table a few times, and was definitely slower on calling out my presses and working through what I wanted to do. I know the one dude had a chuckle at my note card with the presses listed out 😂. Tried several times to get some bets going for them (Pass line w/ 2x odds), but was only able to hit a single come out roll 🤷♂️. Ended up throwing in a couple quarters as things played out and a black at the end when I fully realized what I earned 😎
Also, last night was the reason I realized why Casino Quest started making their Press/Collect indicator. This game is a total sensory overload and can melt your brain trying to track everything 😳. Absolutely lost track a couple of times, so may have left a press or two on the table because my brain short circuited in the moment.
