Trip to US from UK - things to buy & watch?

Hello,

I'm heading on holiday to the US from the UK, and will do a little bit of shopping whilst I'm there. Is there anything BTS related that I should be on the lookout that's exclusive to the US or easier to buy there than the UK? Anything at all!

Similarly, anything on streaming services that I can't get in the UK that I might be able to watch in the US? I know my Netflix changes when aboard. Wondering if I should subscribe to other services, e.g. Disney+, Kowaca.

Thank you :)

What should be happening at pelvic physio?

Hello,

Just wondering what happens at your sessions with a pelvic physio? I feel like I'm being duped by mine. There aren't really any private pelvic physio around me. The first one I saw just gave me dilators. The second one, encouraged me to book in for 10 sessions (paid up front to make each session cheaper). She does acupuncture mainly. Only gave me some basic exercises in the first session that related to tensing the pelvic floor (?!) And some breathing. What should I be expecting? Really upset I paid up front. Getting nothing from it. My next session will be my 8th session.

New build roof not meeting regulations

Hello,

We bought a new build house 8 years ago (England). We recently developed a leak, NHBC inspector said the wrong screws had been used with the ridge tiles by Redrow and we were able to claim back for the repairs.

Whilst the roofer was up there with the scaffolding he found around 8 serious issues with the roof where it didn't meet roof and lead regulations.

I put in another claim with NHBC who wouldn't pay out as there was no leak.

I wrote to Redrow who referred me back to the NHBC.

Anyone had experience of something similar. Who do I speak to next/again? Local building control or NHBC? I cant afford the repairs so I am seeking compensation.

Thanks in advance!

Hello, after having a really good period after suffering with sciatica in my right leg I've had a blip and now have nerve pain/burning/tingling/numbness in both feet. This is all very mild thankfully but I do have some quite bad days. I have no back pain and no stiffness like before. I've had this for 3 months and it is now really localised in my feet, after previously going into my lower legs (never above the knee). I'm trying to rule out other causes (e.g b12 deficiency). Nerve conduction test came back clear this week. MRI last year showed central L4/L5 snd L5/S1 with potential nerve irritation. Can anyone help with the following:

  1. is it usual to have nerve pain in your feet and absolutely no symptoms in your back? Physio didn't think it eas coming from my back.

  2. for those with problems with their feet, have you found it made worse by wearing shoes and socks? It intensifies everything so much. Wondering if it is nerve irritation or vitamin deficiency. Tried to google this... but it only came up with stuff about putting on socks and pain doing it! For me it is wearing them!

Thanks in advance :)
