Called to dispute a card fraudulently opened in my name and they want my SSN
A Credit One Bank card that I did not open showed up on my credit report today. I filed a report with the FTC but when I called to dispute it with Credit One Bank they asked for my social security number over the phone in order to pull up the account. Is this standard? I don't feel comfortable giving that information over the phone, especially if I'm dealing with fraud. Thanks for any advice.
