Need advice: A6700 or FX30 for a hybrid shooter turning professional?
I've already watched a lot of reviews and asked many of my friends who work in the industry. I've also been in the creative field for a long time, and I've spent a good amount of time using the Sony A6400, A6700, and ZV-E1. However, I'm now planning to start working professionally. Although I have experience using these cameras, I haven't personally owned one or used one extensively for my own work.
I'm fully committed to my art, but since I'll be buying my first camera, my initial goal is to take on any kind of work I can get. I want to recover my investment, build connections, and gain experience. Once I'm financially stable, I want to focus more on creating meaningful art rather than just delivering work for clients.
I already love photography, but I'm equally passionate about cinematography. That's exactly why I'm so confused about whether I should buy the Sony A6700 or the FX30. I'll be working as both a photographer and a videographer, and I don't want to compromise on my photography.
The FX30 seems like a more professional tool and might leave a stronger impression on clients, but I also believe my skills would allow me to produce great work with the A6700. At the same time, the A6700 would let me continue pursuing photography without giving anything up.
So I'd really appreciate advice from people who actually own one of these cameras or have used both extensively. If you were in my position, which one would you choose, and why? Your experience would genuinely help me make the right decision.
