I got a email from Hyatt telling me to arrange transport to and from the PUJ airport. Is this necessary or are there Ubers and uber blacks in this area?

Can any pilots out tell me the grass isn’t greener?

Most don’t know this but associate dentists (ones without an office) have insanely low job satisfaction rate. No warnings about how first 5-10 yrs is getting pushed around by office managers with high school or associate degrees and burnout from over working on insurance patients. Yes, pay is good. I’m doing around $3-400k. Dentistry is just like any other healthcare fields like pharm and vet. Completely sold out to private equity. Most office owners looking for associates in this saturated market are usually crazy ambitious and equally shitty to work for as corporate gigs.

I’m always seeing how pilots have some of the highest job satisfaction rates and pretty sweet income. Just the fact that you walk into your job (airplane) and get to close the door sounds glorious. I think about some of the most painfully difficult patients I got to work on past few weeks. Wondering who’s going to gaslight or try to sue me for god knows what. There has to be a better way to live. Even if i take a pay cut. Dw I have friends in dentistry making $120-200 range and equally miserable.

Is pilot truly the golden occupation of this era?

I work with a middle aged Asian cpa. He just finished my company’s taxes and I’ve been working with him for about 3 years. What’s a good gift idea in the $3-500 range accountants would appreciate?
