Trying to improve my english via community

So im recently started re-watching community for the third time with a second goal in mind besides seeing peak TV.

I've chose to watch without subtitles as a non-english native to try to improve my hearing, and now i want to start two discussions about it in this sub reddit.

First thing, do you guys think community is a great show for intermediated/advanced english learners, almost every video that i watch on youtube are from english speaking creators and i usually have a great time watching without the need to recap parts of the videos. But i dont feel the same way watching this series, i see myself going back in some episode moments quite a lot, especially with some specific characters

And that is what i think is my most important question, why do i struggle so much with some character while other i have a sweet time.

i prepared a list starting from the easiest to the hardest character for me to understand without feeling the need to re watch the scene.

1- Duncan ( do any other portuguese speaking person feels that british is way easier to pronounce and to understand, i dont know why i feel that)

2- The dalmatian bald dude ( The way he talks is so smooth and on point, one of my favorite characters in comedy fiction )

3- Chang

4- Annie ( i dont recall any moments from chang and annie that i didn't understod them )

5- Cornelius

6- Jeff

8- Troy ( The moment jeff and troy starts to speak fast or words that i dont know, i struggle, but just a little

9- Hot blonde from spanish class

10- Perce ( Parciuo and the blond one have a strange way to talk, i dont know but it feels they are speaking inside themselves, like their voice just dont comes out sometimes )

11- Abed ( this is obvious, this guy just start to rap sometimes, but even when he isnt, i struggle to understand simples words, i also have the sensations that danny pudi was always the furthest guy to the mic, its very strange )

12- Shirley ( for me it looks like shirley created an specific dialect for talking in that tv show, the moment i see she's trying to speak i grab my remote control ready to rewatch her dialogue at least 4 times before giving up and switching on the subtitles )

if you guys could answer if there is any corelation beetween those characters and the ease of understanding them

Also sorry if my english writing is bad ( its my worst part by far ), im trying to improve everyday🙌🙌

Does sound make that much of a difference?

So, I've been playing siege on pc for a month now since i stopped in 2023 on xbox ( i played until i reached 200 lvl ). I was very bad at the game at the time, with a kd of only 0.6 and a never ending story on silver 2.

Since i started on pc i noticed an improvement in my skill, queueing solo and getting 1.2 kd.

Now I'm trying to play with my silver to gold friends and getting in their lobbies. At the start nothing changed, i was still getting kills and helping at winning games, but since two weeks ago im only getting 1 kd matches ( like 5/5 ) or getting absolutely destroyed with scoreboards like 0/7, 2/7, 0/5 etc...

When i queue solo i still get a higher kd because people in copper lobbies don't seem to react properly when encountering an enemy

My aim is ok and my knowledge is also ok, but i have the feeling that I'm losing fights because i play with no headset, just the sound of the monitor while using discord on the cellphone with my friends.

Am I trying too hard to blame something for my bad kd or having no headset makes that much of a difference? Do i need to try to fix this ( getting a headset that works on my computer) if i want to at least make a difference on my friends games or am i still terrible at the game and there is nothing i can do besides accepting this fact
