So, I’m waiting on a job offer, and legislatively I need to provide a current police check. All good.

I have done many police checks over my career, but it’s gone from taking an hour to come back to days, as in this is business day 3. Hours know that ID theft is on the rise and people have to be carful, but after providing, extensive verifications, and I know I have no convictions, it’s really frustrating.

Has anyone else experienced this or can you suggest a really reliable platform that won’t take days or weeks to return a result?

I had a consultation today for redundancy, and I can see why the role I’m in is being made redundant…. But, the MD seemed to earnestly ask me to think of how I could still be utalised in the business. I have until tomorrow COB to put forward feedback. I have a really wide skill set, but I want to know if it’s worth even putting in the effort, and if anyone has successfully avoided redundancy this way.?I’m in the NDIS sector so it’s new reforms and plans being slashed (much to the participants detriment) is the reason for the restructure.

Any advice is welcome. Thanks!
