Guatemalan Premium Antigua Los Volcanes

So I am trying a dark roasted batch of one of Burman's sampler packages and they have it for sale. It hit 6 minutes at 208 c. Got a nice crisp smoke with chocolate, lemon, floral, and a nutty side note with a little caramel. This i degassed for a couple days and it's intensely satisfying.

Costa Rica Tartarus La Pastora SHB

Nice medium almost city roast. I know I should have stopped at the 1st into the 2nd, but waited a little longer for part of the 3rd to kick in and wow those beans taste good!

Docket #S260295158

Procedural Questions: Improper Pre-Discovery Plea Offer and Discovery Violations (Tioga County)
> * **Date of Summons:** February 3rd, 2026.
> * **Charge:** VTL 1129 (Following Too Closely).
> * **Ajudicated 07/20/2026:** in Tioga Justice Court.
> **Procedural Timeline for Community Insight:**
> 1. **No Initial Evidence:** At the first court appearance, the People (Tioga County DA) did not present any supporting deposition or underlying evidence (e.g., dashcam, officer statement) regarding the charge.
> 2. **Improper Plea Bargain Offer:** Immediately upon arraignment, the People extended a standard plea offer without having met their CPL 245.10 disclosure obligations. This appears to conflict with CPL 245.25(1), which prohibits the prosecution from accepting a guilty plea prior to the automatic discovery phase.
> 3. **Discovery Demand:** A formal discovery demand (including a request for all communications/metadata related to the stop, specifically 911 dispatch logs) was filed/sent on [05/09/2026]. This request was ignored/refused.
> 4. **Judicial Ruling:** On [07/20/2026], the Court (Judge Peggy Anderson) accepted the plea bargain option and denied the motion to dismiss or compel discovery, despite the violation of CPL 245.25 and failure to comply with the court's own discovery deadlines.
> **Questions for the Community:**
> * In New York, is it standard for a court to permit a plea bargain on a simplified traffic information prior to providing the supporting deposition or initial discovery materials?
> * If a District Attorney refuses FOIL requests regarding the traffic stop, does a defendant have legal standing to compel that evidence via subpoena *during* the adjudication phase to support an appeal?
> * Are there known precedents where a Judge's acceptance of a plea deal despite documented CPL Article 245 violations was successfully challenged on appeal?
> I am currently preparing a CPL 460.10 appeal within the 30-day window and need to establish case law on these specific procedural violations.

Trooper Cat and Mouse Driving Richford/ Berkshire

I had a trooper pull in front of me, speed up, slow down... etc like Mississippi Burning and ticket me for following too closely. Without any evidentiary support they were plea bargaining, the only thing they gave me was an image of the Tioga justi e seal. I had such trauma from this because I was pulled in Florida under similar circumstances and received a death threat by the officer if I told anyone. They refuse to provide foil, the judge sided with the trooper and I have to get an appeal done within 30 days. They violated my 4th amendment and due process and my Brady rights and the judge just signed off on it. Not to mention I found the trooper was not just a member of TPUSA (Turning Point USA) he was the chapter president for his class at u/Albany. I did call 911 and the officer texted them back routine traffic stop in progress and that is timestamped. He whined about my calling 911 which is deliberate indifference and this is the output of NEW YORK STATE TAXPAYERS MONEY.

I almost started trusting police and tge system and now know they don't protect and serve but demand and terrorize. I have paper.

Something different for today

Figured I’d try something completely different with sidamo beans and some Costa Rica beans with the lower elevations and see what flavor I’d get on dark roast. I’ll be honest after degassing this I’m not disappointed.

Malabar Monsoon Beans

These are Malabar Monsoon beans roasted as if dark to 208c for 4 minutes; they will be ready in about 5 days. Supposedly they have smoke wood and pepper notes. I was curious because I also want to combine roast them with another bean of similar properties to see what kind of blend I can take on.
