Best open class show OAT?

We always hear about the best world class shows, but as a two-time open class performer, I wonder what the standard is for open class. What is considered to be the best open class show of all time? What open class show displays the golden standard for open class?

What kind of dance lessons should I do?

I marched 2 seasons of Blue Devils B, so I think my dance is alright but could be way better. I’m going for a trumpet spot for Blue Devils A for 2027 and I’ve heard I should take dance lessons, because the Blue Devils is known for their extravagant visuals and dance moments.

I’m currently taking a lot of college classes, so I feel limited in how many different things I can do outside of classes to make sure I don’t lose my mind. I feel like I can fit in one type of dance class on top of my individual music practice and classes. I’ve been recommended ballet or hip-pop dance classes.

For you guys to be able to give me advice, here’s some things I need to improve in both the hip-pop and ballet dance genres:

Moving slowly or with grace is sometimes difficult for me, but I am able to do it. My balance is satisfactory but can be better. Isolating some limbs while doing some movements needs improvement (like doing a ronde de jambe while pointing my foot; sometimes results in a sickle). Quick and staccato movements can be more staccato. I also suck at body rolls.

That is all I can think of at the moment, any advice is appreciated. Thank you all!

Any recent UCD waitlist waves for first years yet?

Most specifically the biological sciences department. The wait is starting to become extremely painful. Has there been any movement for first years (NOT transfers) in the past week or so?

I’m still willing to wait to prove to them that I am dedicated to becoming a student, but I just want to know because I’m curious. Thanks!

Molecular and Medical Microbiology Waitlist at UC Davis

Has anyone on the waitlist with this exact major heard back from UC Davis? From what it seems like, I don't think anyone else has heard back from them yet with this major. I'm just curious, and I wanna feel more confidence in myself.

Seemingly Unstoppable Population Decline (How do I fix it?)

My city's population peaked at around 420,000, and then I let the game run for some time just to discover that my population started to be at a perpetual downfall with almost every single highly-populated building, and a great portion of all residential buildings, having deaths in it. The population declined to 400,000.

Screenshot of the bird's eye view of the city

Healthcare is phenomenal in this city, deathcare is optimal for this city, there is no pollution in anything whatsoever, and fire and police cover the entire city perfectly. Every single service covers the city at least enough to make every single road green. In terms of taxes, taxes and service fees are relatively low. Residential, Commercial, Offices, and Industry all have a uniform tax rate at 8%. Service fees are also at around 70-75% (I forgot to check). Every single thing in the budget tab is set to at least 110%. So, in terms of money, free time, and services, there doesn't appear to be anything wrong that causes people to move out.

In terms of the population breakdown, there is a birth rate of 3,261/mo, a death rate of 5,365/mo, an immigration rate of 6,273/mo, and an emigration rate of 4,628/mo. I feel that the employment status is relatively great as well, with an unemployment rate of 1.3%, and a homeless rate of 0.1%. In terms of the population age breakdown, 20% of the population is children, 12.8% teens, 43.5% adults, and 23.7% seniors. As of now, I can't see anything wrong with the population breakdown, unless I am misinterpreting the data of the birth rate, death rate, immigration rate, and emigration rate.

I feel that I am doing what I can. The population has been at a steady decline at 700-900 people per hour. I tried adding more commercial, office, and industrial buildings, and it temporarily started an increase in the population at a rate of 3,000 people per hour, but it shortly returned back to the aforementioned decline. I don't know what else I can do, everything I've looked up pointed at problems my city clearly isn't facing. I also heard about deathwaves, which was a problem in Cities: Skylines 1. Do deathwaves happen in Cities: Skylines 2? How can I stop the build up of dead people and bring more people back into my city? This population decline feels seemingly unstoppable. Has anyone else encountered something like this?

I got waitlisted at UCD for Microbiology. My current weighted GPA at my school is a 4.2 with 3 APs and 5 Honors taken in my entire time at high school. I think my current UC GPA is 4.08 because none of the honors classes at my school boost my UC GPA. I think I’m pretty academically inclined, but my extracurriculars, volunteer work (57 hours atm), and amount of achievements might weigh me down. I’ll be happy to dive deeper into my extracurriculars and achievements if it helps.

I’m not counting on getting in right now because, according to a survey site (I forgot what it’s called), only 39% of people on the waitlist got admitted in 2025 and I feel that that rate will go down or stay the same this year.

What are my chances of getting off the waitlist? My teachers and I feel that I would be a great student, but obviously I and my teachers know me much better than the admissions office at UCD who is judging how I would be based on my application. Also, are waitlisters receiving offers of admission already?
