Federation of Canaan

Idealized One-State Solution for the ever-lasting conflict in the Levant. Benjamin Netanyahu is arrested and the genocide in Gaza ended by UN Peacekeepers. The State of Israel as we know it is disbanded, and holy land is reorganized into the Federation of Canaan.

Split up in a similar manner to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canaan is a loose federation between an Israeli state and a Palestinian state, along with the newly established Federal District around Jerusalem/al-Quds. All ethnic groups are equal under the law, and the states are required to provide government services in both Hebrew and Arabic regardless of majority ethnicity.

Communist St. Louis flag

I heard St. Louis was run by communists at one point in the late 19th century after a general strike, so I made a communist St. Louis flag. Enjoy.

I was banned from posting in r/socialism for a similar take so I hope you guys are a lot more accepting/understanding of this 🫠

Hasan is not wrong to endorse certain Democrats, especially leftists/progressives like Abdul El-Sayed, Zohran Mamdani, AOC and Cori Bush. And we should be behind them, too. Not because they are perfect socialist candidates, but because they are growing the socialist revolution here in America and are making the way for other, similar politicians, which ultimately makes socialism as a whole more accepted in the currently right-wing-heavy American political environment.

Not saying we have to blindly vote Democrat up and down the ballot for the sake of lesser-evilism, but we as communists, socialists, progressives etc seriously need to put our differences aside and unite for the growth of the left as a whole, because if we don't the neo-fascists in power will easily round us up and slaughter us like cattle.

Lenin said that being a revolutionary means that you need to make necessary compromises without sacrificing the ultimate goal. We don't have to permanently ally with these more centrist parts of the left but it is necessary for us to grow the revolution here in America. And simply put, unless someone else is willing to lead the proletariat to victory, figures like Hasan are who we got to lead us. You don't have to agree with everything he says, but we need to rally behind somebody here in America.
