Pop up rainstorms in Tokachi

My cats want in and out and back in again. I swear, I've toweled off dogs and cats five times a day the past few days.

On the bright side, blue sky! On the wet side, there was a cat fight (maybe just an argument) in the tall grass, and my boy Cessna came in more drenched than I'd ever seen him.

Cat will only take half a pill of Drontal

Earhart is a big boy (6.5 kg) and a mighty hunter, so he gets tapeworms every season. This year, he's got a new trick. When he's very hungry, I get him to take half a Drontal in a Churu snack. But when it comes to the second half, he spits it out. He's too strong for me, so I can't keep his jaws closed.

So, I gave him half a pill on Friday, and half on Saturday. I'd like to continue this on Sunday and Monday, but my husband (a dairy farmer, so he knows more about dewormers than me) says that some medicines should only be given once.

My question: should I hope the two halves are enough (at his weight, he's supposed to have four halves)? Should I continue "slow dosing" him? Or should I wait until the worm packets appear again, and just let a vet dose him?
