Is Avery a better love interest than Andrea for Kayce due to their shared Yellowstone History?

I just saw an interesting article (see link below) about bring Avery back as Kayce's love interest and it made a very good point, which is "Avery would be a better option for Kayce as he moves into his next chapter because of her ability to understand where he comes from."

I agree. With Avery, she may not like Kayce's past much like Monica didn't, but there wouldn't be a constant tension that Kayce's past was going to come out and destroy their relationship at any given moment since Avery lived in the bunkhouse on the Yellowstone Ranch. Even though she wasn't involved in super shady train station stuff, she did know that there was some shady stuff (the bull in the bar) at least going on and I think she would take any fallout from Kayce’s past in much better stride than most any other potential love interest.

Whereas with Andrea do we really think that she would be able to understand and accept what it means to be a Yellowstone branded man? Especially in light of her hero worship of her law enforcement father. And, it's not like Kayce would be able to hide the big Y brand on his chest if they were in a romantic relationship.

What about the train station? What happens if Andrea finds out Kayce drop a body there after having become a Marshal in the 2nd episode and was well on his way to dropping another in episode 11 of season 1 if Cal hadn't interfered and killed the guy instead of Kayce?

And if, Kayce couldn't share anything about his Yellowstone past with Andrea, wouldn't that make it awfully rough to have a long-term relationship if he was always keeping huge secrets from the person, he was having a romantic relationship with and possibly living in the same house with them?

What are your thoughts?

‘Marshals’ Officially Returns With Major Consequences in Season 2 - Logan Marshall-Green Interview

Logan Marshall-Green recently sat down for an hour-long video interview with Collider Forces about his role in The Odyssey and during the interview spoken about what to expect for Cal in the upcoming season 2 of Marshals.

>

>Although he remained careful about revealing exactly what comes next, the actor teased that the fallout from Season 1 will spread throughout the new episodes. “I don’t want to give anything away because there are going to be some ramifications for these marshals and consequences,” Marshall-Green said. “And as I’ve said before, not to really give anything away, we have to finish that scene, so I am shooting Season 2. But you’re going to get a lot more of those consequences, and they’re going to ripple down."

>“What you learn about Cal in Season 1 is absolutely going to come into effect, which is his cancer diagnosis. It’s based on one of the creators’ real stories, and so we’re going to go after it. We’re still in the middle of it, and I couldn’t tell you, to be completely honest. Those kinds of things I don’t want to know. I just want to live it like humans. The best part about TV is it’s the closest, out of all the mediums, to life. You don’t know what you’re getting handed next. But it’s a lot more of the same when it comes to the massive amounts of set pieces and action balanced with character. A lot of character.”

>While Cal spent much of Season 1 guiding the marshals around him, Marshall-Green believes his most important relationship in the new season may be the one he has with himself. His diagnosis will challenge the pride and toughness that have defined him as both a soldier and a leader. “To be completely honest, the one relationship that I’m really looking forward to is him with himself,” Marshall-Green explained. “He has a lot of pride built in; he’s a soldier, and I’m looking forward to him being kind of humbled by his experience. He can crack whips and be very demanding of his team, and somewhat hard around the edges, but I’m looking forward to softening those edges with him, and him realizing he’s not immortal. He’s not that soldier any longer."

Forget the Dutton Ranch Crossover, bring on the 1923/Marshals crossover.

Is it too much to hope for Brandon Sklenar making a guest appearance on Marshals as on of Kayce’s long lost SEAL ‘brothers’.

Or heck, I would even start to believe in ghosts, if Spencer wanted to come back haunt East Camp for that matter.

One does wonder what advice Great-Grandpa Spencer had to say to his Great-Grandson Kayce.

This is from back in January, but to have been a mouse in the corner for this evening.

Is Marshals better or worse for Monica not being a part of the show?

Is Marshals better or worse for having killed of Monica before the show started?

Do you like that her cancer death was tied into the Broken Rock mine story? Would you rather she died in a different manner?

Should her death have been shown on screen?

Another connection in the Marshals =>SEAL Team =>Dutton Ranch Triangle : Dutton Ranch’ Duo Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser Talk Season 2.

Looks like Cole is good friends with someone who worked on SEAL Team and that is how Benjamin Cavill was chosen. Wonder if Cole’s friend now works on Marshals for the other co-creator of SEAL Team, Spencer Hudnut, showrunner of Marshals?

P.S. It looks like Cavill is bringing in his own writing crew, so it should be interesting and apparently Taylor Sheridan is also going to be inputting idea for Dutton Ranch. Wonder if we will get lucky and he’ll throw some ideas Marshals way also?

As executive producers on Dutton Ranch, I imagine you were involved in the process of choosing Benjamin Cavell [to replace Chad Feehan] as showrunner for season two. Had you worked with him before, and what excites you about working with him now — what will he bring to the show?

HAUSER I have a dear friend who worked with him on SEAL Team for six or seven seasons. He’s somebody I trust with my life. We went to boot camp together; a lot of time in the jungle together in Louisiana. So it was his recommendation of Ben, and the way creatively that Ben is and the kind of person he is and how his mind works, and we saw a glimpse of it. We had a very good meeting with him, and I cannot wait for this new iteration of Ben and his team of guys that he hires, along with David Glasser and the people who are involved, and to really sink our teeth into what this next show is going to be. And we’re not there yet. This is very early in the process. But I get home, and I know Kelly is chomping at the bit, and we’ll get into it and have some fun.

'Dutton Ranch': Kelly Reilly & Cole Hauser Break Silence on Monica Dutton's Death

>The moved to Texas after finding a legacy ranch to buy. Reilly and Hauser tell TV Insider that this happened after Monica’s death.
“I think that happened before our show started in a story world,” Reilly says. “I imagine Beth and Rip had gone to Monica’s [funeral], that there has been some connection and our story started after that.”

>Because of the timing of when the two shows were written and filmed, Monica’s death couldn’t be worked into the plot of Dutton Ranch Season 1, “but I would absolutely imagine that there’ll be some checking in on her brother and we just didn’t see it this year,”

>> “I think it’s something that was a missed opportunity quite honestly,” she continues, “but we’re all both trying to start up these big shows. And I think we can see where there are gaps and we see where things needed to be fixed. And that’s what you get the opportunity to do in a Season 2.

>Reilly and Hauser have both previously expressed interest in working with Grimes again now that they’re all starring in their own Yellowstone spinoffs. Hauser tells TV Insider that addressing Monica’s death in Dutton Ranch is of interest, as is the chance to show a new side of Rip’s relationship with his brother-in-law.

>"It’d be fun to see actually Kayce and Rip get along,” Hauser says, “have a scene where they’re actually happy together. I would absolutely love to see that and see it written and actually have some fun with him in some capacity.”

Sounds like Kayce’s new life and Monica’s death will be addressed in Season 2 of Dutton Ranch. And that a cross over between the two shows are closer than ever.

NEW: Season 2 Trailer of Marshals — Video Clip.

I agree they picked the wrong person to take hostage. Also, looks like Andrea doesn’t make it to DC and her and Miles come flying in on an helicopter. Still looks like Dolly is the “Devil in Disguise” that lured Kayce to the ‘meeting’.

Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip (Cole Hauser) would be down for a crossover with Marshals.

Sounds like Kelly (Beth) and Cole (Rip) would be down for a crossover with Marshals and it may very well be closer than we all think.

Both Marshals Season 1 and Dutton Ranch Season 1 end with the main characters’ sons kidnapped by the villain. You both have said you’re open to a crossover with Luke Grimes‘ show. Were these endings coincidence or coordinated? Marshals did say that Tate was being taken to Texas.

Reilly: Maybe [smiles].

Hauser: [Laughs] What I will say is I’d love to work with Luke. We saw him in New York for the Upfronts, Kelly and I both, and I just love him, man. I miss him.

Reilly: I miss him too.

Hauser: I love people that we’ve worked with over the years in Yellowstone, but the fact that he’s on his show and we’re on this show, if there’s a way to somewhere down the road do something special where he comes and visits us or if we go to Montana, great.

Reilly: Go find our sons. But, you know, I think Beth misses her brother, so I would love that to happen. And we were all very close. Wes Bentley, who played Jamie, Kelsey [who played Monica]. We were a family and we miss them very much. So the more we can get back in, that’s what we’re fighting for, Cole and I. Where we get our wishes, we would love to have as many back in our world.
