I'm a travel photography hobbyist and wanted a clean place to put my work up. Looked at a few platforms but didn't like paying monthly for something I could barely customize. So I just vibecoded it with Claude. Took about a month including the research, and it's finally live:
It's an Astro site hosted on Cloudflare, with the photos in R2. Pretty much everything is automated - photo compression, album uploads, even the white borders, so adding a new trip is basically one command.
The custom domain and Claude sub was the only thing I paid for.
No plans to scale or sell it. Just thought it was a fun one to share, and maybe some motivation for anyone building their own. Happy to answer any tech questions.
