I created a Firefox plugin to display location on BAT listings

I figured that I would solve a problem that I deal with daily. BAT does not show locations until you drill down to the individual listing. This now shows the location on the thumbnail pages.

Let me know if you use it and like it please.

Release notes:

BaT Listing Locations is an unofficial helper for Bring a Trailer browsing. It adds each auction's seller location directly to listing cards on search and category pages, so you can compare listings without opening every auction page first.

The extension runs only on bringatrailer.com. It reads the auction links already shown on the page, fetches those linked auction pages in the background, extracts the public location from the BaT Essentials section, and displays it on the listing card.

Locations are cached locally in your browser for faster repeat browsing. No analytics, tracking, accounts, ads, or third-party services are used.

The other day I was asked to stop photographing an equestrian event from the sidelines. It was local. My kid was participating along with their team. The event organizer said "we have a professional photographer", which they did. The pro was shooting from inside the arena which is an awesome vantage point that I wish I had for my team.

I looked at the pro's photos and they are pretty bad. She does not cull or edit anything, just raw dumps them onto pic-time or whatever shop she is using. She shoots a lot of horses butts and back of heads. The watermarks make the photos un-viewable. I cannot imagine she sells anything at all. Her private portrait stuff looks awesome and kudos for her wedding work but the event photos are dog poo. Mad respect for anyone willing to take on weddings props to her for that.

I cannot really be upset about being asked to stop, I'm using a full frame body with 70-200 attached. I'm not there like the rest of the parents with my iphone out. I do put these photos up for sale. I should have asked for permission. This is just the first time I have run into this. I think it's just because it was a larger event.

I'm not sure what I'm looking for here, other than asking if you have ever been officially asked to stop taking photos. I guess it can be kind-of weird from a perspective taking pictures of other people's kids in sport? I was really just practicing and trying to wrap my head around making this an official real business. Horse photos in action take some practice, there is a specific look that everyone wants and it only occurs for about a 1/10th of a second occasionally.

I removed all the photos of participants that are not associated with our team from my store. If I'm going to up my game next season it seems I need to do some marketing, and seek out the people running the event to get an official ok for photos.
