How critical is BCG CCA for fall recruiting

Hi all. I'm joining a T15 this year and took the BCG CCA test today as part of BCG unlock requirement.

The quantitative section has 8 questions to be solved in 12 minutes. I am sure I marked one of them wrong. How much is this going to impact my chances while recruiting in the fall?

Help! Refund policy for Main Cabin if cancelled a month after booking but before flight departure

Hello all,

This is my first time flying on American Airlines. I can see three tiers of options

Main, Main Plus, Main Select
All of these mention "Full Refund"

https://preview.redd.it/29700bt69h1h1.png?width=1044&format=png&auto=webp&s=9eb35320f52f37027f7f16d2dab6995ea7d81818

However, I am not able to exactly find the refund policy anywhere. What is the general value proposition of this option? If I purchase the ticket today for a flight that departs in July, can I cancel it in June and still get the full refund?

In Refund to travel credit - can this travel credit be used for any itinerary i.e travel to a different city?

Is there an expiry period for the travel credit?

Can the travel credit be used as a portion of another travel ?

I couldn't find direct confirmation to any of these on the AA website and the fare policy terminology is pretty esoteric

"WHOLLY UNUSED TICKETS ARE VALID PROVIDED TRAVEL COMMENCES WITHIN ONE YEAR FROM THE ORIGINAL TICKET ISSUE DATE" - Like what does that even mean

SOLVE and Early Access for McKinsey

Hi all,

I am joining a T15 this fall. So I applied for McKinsey Early Access and received a mail today with a 1 week testing window for the SOLVE assessment.

Reading about SOLVE and the extent some have gone to buying excel frameworks and online courses is scaring me.

I have two questions

  1. Can i skip this SOLVE assessment and still participate in Early Access - Some students in my cohort are mentioning this is possible

  2. If no, what's the best way to prepare for SOLVE - especially when competing against the above mentioned folks

Is PM to Consulting considered a Pivot in recruiting?

Hi all

I'm an international joining a T15 this fall. My past experience is in product management for a D2C product in Financial services but the job was a mix of business development, tech PM, stakeholder management etc.,

When recruiting for consulting would I be seen as a "pivoter". I see a lot of comments and posts saying that international struggling with recruiting are mostly pivoters.

Would Tech roles make more sense for me or is consulting doable

Most sample resumes I look at have separations for several companies or the several roles within the same company.

I have a total of 5 years of experience in the same company as a product manager. I was promoted twice but the job responsibilities remained largely same although I was managing a larger business that I grew during my tenure.

I can't distinguish between my achievements across the designations, so I have listed the designations I held to show the promotion path all at the top.

Now, if I am listing all my achievments under this, it seems like 12 bullets one after another and I'm worried if it will look too much

I am thinking of creating sections such as "Business achievements", "Product development","analytics", "Strategic projects" , etc., which each could have 3-4 points so that it doesn't look like a long list.

Chatgpt recommends that I should not do this, but I don't seem to find another way. Would like your views on this
