Racers, how much do you ride your mtb?

Those of you who train and race for xc, how much do you ride your mountain bike vs a road or gravel bike.

Previously I only had the mtb, so my answer to that was all the time, but this year I got a gravel bike and have been spending way more time on the gravel bike, often on pavement. I feel like gravel and pavement riding is more controllable so I’m able to do “better” training there, but when I did a mtb race recently I didn’t feel confident on the mtb. I’ve definitely gone too far in the direction of too much time on drop bars and not enough in the race bike, but I’m curious how that balance works for others.

Racing in the Rain - Chafing and Feet

I’m doing a 100 mile race this weekend, it’s going to rain all week leading up to the race and there’s rain forecasted all day on race day. Does anyone have advice for preventing chafing and foot problems on a long wet day?

I’ve seen some chamois creams are thicker and maybe more water resistant, is that something to look into?

I’ll be wearing merino socks, should I put anything on my feet to protect them from water?

Any advice is welcome for wet conditions. It’ll be hot so I’m not planning on any jacket or full waterproof layer.

Charging station ideas

I really need to make some a charging station to organize my batteries and chargers for my lawn equipment. It’s currently all in a pile in a corner in my basement. I have 4 chargers (2 fast, 2 standard. I was thinking about screwing into that osb wall to mount the chargers, but now I’m thinking about the chance of battery fire and wondering if it’d be better to do something on the concrete block wall.

Anyone have ideas for a charging station that mitigates risk from a battery fire? Or am I overthinking the risk of fire since I’m using all legit RYOBI batteries and equipment?

Also, does anyone have a 3d printable battery holder to hold the batteries after they’re charged?
