There was a time when used to do author backed and meaty roles like in Ram Leela, Piku, Padmavat, Gehraiyaan etc. Even Chhapaak was a brave attempt.

However since last few years she is reduced to flowerpot roles with not much screentime. Even her upcoming movie Raaka with Allu Arjun doesn't look promising. There was a time when she announced ambitious movies like Draupadi and the intern remake.

What happened to her ambition and why is she content with flowerpot roles? Just because they bring 💰💵 she is doing them or what?

I happened to watch 2, 3 interviews of Rashi Khanna today and man, she is so fluent in Telugu. I was genuinely surprised regarding how fluent she is in Telugu. She picked it up so fast.

She is an amazing performer, speaks fluent Telugu. I feel she deserves more opportunities 🤩♥️🤌🤌. For me, she is the only best part of Telusu kadaa 😬

I feel like she has it all. A thriving Career, handsome husband, cute daughter and she comes from generational wealth.

Kavya from Anupama. She really embodied working corporate woman role so well. I loved some of her outfits especially her pre wedding outfits. I remember in one of the episodes, I really loved her kurti and earrings. They looked absolutely etheral.

ITV always glorifies joint family system almost in 90% of the shows. Whereas in reality we know how toxic it is. No independence, constant adjustment, daughter in law literally reduced to the role of a maid..

In Saathiya Kokila made a huge ruckus just because Jigar took Rashi and Hetal for an icecream outing 🍨

So many trivial issues blown over proportion..in joint family system, u need to permission from elders even for a single outing. How exhausting.

Constantly being lectured over what to wear and what not! I hate such system..

Also if any bahu wants to move out, she is labelled as a Home breaker.

I feel it's better to live with just ur immediate family in a 3bhk rather than living in a 10bhk with all extended relatives.

The peace and calm of nuclear family is priceless.

The only show where I kind of liked joint family portrayal is in "pyaar ka dard hai".

So let's talk about Kinjal from Saathiya. Most people here think Dhawal is a green flag and Kinjal is lucky to get a husband like him but the truth is he abused her physically and verbally.

All this happened after Rashi's death. After Rashi's death, Kinjal supported Urmila and for some time everything was good. But Urmila being Urmila, again started doing Kalakaaris and Dhawal used to believe her without any proof. Urmila once instigated Dhawal against Kinjal and he slapped her. That's the reason Kinjal left him for 10 years.

Also after this, Urmila continued to physically harass Kinjal and Dhawal being spineless never took a stand for her.

She is the prime example of why girls should be financially independent. Otherwise they will get trapped in bad marriages. Also Kokila never helped Kinjal financially after marriage, not even a single rupee. All the property was given to Ahem and Jigar, the so called sons.

Kinjal tried to be financially independent but Urmila ruined every attempt of hers. Kinjal was doing modelling for Sarees and Ahem slapped her for that saying she is bringing disgrace to the family.

Her life was ruined by her own family, first her own mother and next her husband who believed Urmila over her.

Today when I see girls earning 40 lpa, 50 lpa I can't help but feel proud of them. I myself earn well. So I know I will never be in her situation.

So girls pls be financially independent especially if u have toxic in laws.

Naira was such an attention seeker..

She got engaged again during Naksh Keerti's engagement ceremony and dressed like a bride for Mansi's wedding. Like girl, let others shine on their special day. You need not be the centre of attention all the time.

In western countries, she would be uninvited or banned from all other events if this is how she behaves.

I watch some ITV shows purely because I love the houses. Like the apartment in second episode of Teri Meri Love Stories, Kunal Mauli's apartment in Silsila and Viaan's house in Katha Ankahee.

Are there any ITV shows which makes u wish, u own a house like that in future?

A character whom I wouldn’t fully support, but for whom I’ll always have a soft corner, is Aarohi Goenka/Birla. In the beginning, she was definitely a spoilt, rude and somewhat selfish brat, and there were plenty of moments when I couldn’t agree with her actions. But what I genuinely appreciate is that she eventually changed for the better and showed real growth as a character. She became more mature, understanding and self-aware, which made it much easier to root for her.

What I love most about Aarohi, though, is how fiercely career-oriented she is. She takes her career seriously, is ambitious, hardworking and wants to build an identity of her own. I really appreciate that the show portrayed her as a woman who values her independence and professional aspirations rather than making her entire life revolve around romance. For me, that is one of her most admirable qualities, and I honestly wish the makers had explored this side of her even more.

I also wish they had introduced a proper second male lead for her after Neil, someone whose storyline was actually centred around Aarohi and who could complement her ambitions rather than simply being another romantic complication. I think Aarohi had the potential for a really interesting journey as an independent, career-driven woman finding love on her own terms. She may not be a character I’ll defend blindly, but she’s definitely one I’ll always have a soft spot for—and her ambition is a huge reason why.

I keep seeing ads of these micro series on my insta. Does anyone even watches these? Y r so many itv actors acting in them?? Sometimes they look so cheap and vulgar. Are they not getting work on ITV?

Avantika from Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara is genuinely one of the better-written career-woman characters in ITV.

What made her work was that her career wasn't just a decorative trait. She was ambitious, competent, financially independent, confident, and professionally respected, while also being a mother and wife.

The show didn't necessarily treat her career as something she had to "outgrow" to become a good wife/mother.

And importantly, Avantika wasn't written as the stereotypical “cold career woman who needs to learn family values.” She could be flawed, controlling, or difficult at times, but those flaws were personality flaws rather than consequences of being career-oriented.

For an ITV show from that era, that's actually pretty refreshing. ♥️🤌
