Why do subscribers gained through YouTube Promote appear in the Earn tab if they don't count toward YPP eligibility?
Hello, YouTube officially states that both watch time and subscribers gained through Promote do not count toward YouTube Partner Program eligibility. I've seen people claim that only watch time is excluded, but the official wording explicitly mentions subscribers too.
However, the subscriber count in my YouTube Studio Earn tab matches my total subscriber count, including those gained through Promote. They appear to be counted toward the subscriber requirement for monetization.
Do you think YouTube actually counts these subscribers anyway, despite what the policy says? Or are they checked and excluded later when you apply for YPP?
Has anyone here reached the requirement using Promote and then applied? I'd be interested to hear what actually happened.
