Anyone else bought a microchip sword grouoset from ebay?

Looking to build a gravel bike up from the frame and have been eyeing up Microsoft sword, as it looks affordable.

Only place I can find the 1x10 groupset is eBay or amazon, but I know they are risky for bike parts.

Anyone have experience with this?

Looking for a gravel/all road frameset for under £800 and cant seem to find one suitable. Any suggestions?

Im looking to build up a gravel bike from a frameset and cant quite seem to find the right bike for what I want.

Id like lots of mounting points for bags/gubbins etc but also a frame geo closer to a road bike than a mountain bike.

The sonder camino and colibri both look almost perfect, but the camino ive read has a mtb-esque geometry and the colibri can only take up to 35mm tyres, which will be quite limiting.

Does anyone have any suggestions for frames to look out for? Thanks!

What's your favourite online nursery?

We've all had bad experiences with online nurseries sending plants in terrible conditions and there's often posts here of people showing some terrible plants they've received. So let's share our favourites!

I'll start with mine being Farmer Gracy for bulbs (pricey but great bulbs) and South Devon Chilli Farm for anything chilli related.

What are your favourite purple flowering plants?

Ive got a border with verbena, salvia nemarosa, various salvia greggiis, dwarf lilac, dahlias and some purple huecheras. There's also an obelisk im going to whack a clematis in (Minamo-no-Yousei, it looks incredible).

It has a few gaps which I've filled with some annuals for now but looking to fill it out more with a few other shrubs or perennials with purple or pink flowers. So what are your favourites? Im open to anything!

Its now two years old, so coming in to its 3rd season. Sowed the seed in 2024 and have successfully over wintered it twice, which is where we are now.

Thinking of using some wire to shape the one big branch it has, trimming off the nubs from the stem and then letting a 2 more branches grow out to shape eventually.

Anything else I'll need to be aware of and/or to help it along the way?
