Before Harry went to Hogwarts,their were rumors that he had defeated Voldemort becaude he was an even darker wizard .

So,I ́m wondering how would teachers would react to that being confirmed in the most visible way,with a dark!Harry (who is obsessed by dark magic )saving Hermione by slaying the troll with a killing curse .It’s even better considering that technically,unforgivables are legal as long as not used on humans .

So here ́s my idea .For some reason ,Harry Potter grows up to become a dark lord ,hellbent on taking over the Wizarding world .Meanwhile,Voldemort has not yet ressurected due to Crooshanks eating Scabbers .

So ,by the time harry is 30,he has became a ruthless,bloodthirsty Dark lord , has an army of followers and threaten to take over wizarding britain. Dumbledore,desperate to defeat this master of duel ,ressurect the only one who may be able to defeat Harry ,Lord Voldemort .

Do you think Dumbledore and Voldemort would make a good team ?

Let’s say that Voldemort had taken much longer to ressurect ,being stuck as a wraith for 40 years .

But then ,when he contact his followers ,he see that disaster has struck .Not only the surviving ones have became too out of shape to help him ,their descendants have sworn loyalty to a new up and coming dark lord ,who is waging a very sucessful civil war against the Ministry ,with the public believing Chief-Auror Harry Potter is leading a brave but doomed last stand while muggleborns flee the country in droves.

How does Voldemort react to having been replaced like that ?

Let’s say that during his ambush in the Room of requirements ,Draco had managed to bring more peoples ,with Nott and the quidditch team arriving because they expect that answering Malfoy will result in their loyalty being rewarded by Voldemort himself once Potter is caught .

When Harry arrive near the diadem ,Draco squad suddenly become visible and attack .

Who wins ?

Let’s say Voldemort that 3 years after the events of Deathly Hallows ,Voldemort had achieved a total victory .

Harry Potter is dead ,the order of the pheonix but a memory ,Hogwarts under complete control and the muggleborns either at large or azkaban .Voldemort control is total ,all organised opposition is no more .

So now ,what will Greyback do when Voldemort (predictably )decide that werewolves have outlived their usefulness and have to be purged ?

The only hope I see is that Voldemort needs the werewolves to fight other wizarding governements or the muggles ,and as a result decide to keep them around .But even that would not be sustainable as those conflicts would eventually end ,either with Voldemort defeat (and almost certainly disastrous consequences for Greyback ),or his victory (which is definitely disastrous for Greyback for reasons discussed before).

Voldemort ,expecting harry to love the dursleys as the family he grew up with ,have them all kidnapped by death eaters.

He send Harry a letter where their is a clear ultimatum. To give himself up,or be guilty for their death after an extensive torture session.Voldemort also swear in the letter that the dursleys shall be released if harry give himself up.

How does Harry react ?

Nothing ?The last imperius overide the first ?The two coexist ?A contest of magical power happen ?

Sirius had always disagreed with his parents ,but not that much .When he said Muggles ought to be made slaves ,not exterminated ,his parents disagreed .When his parents advocated for the mudblood extermination,Sirius said he wanted those magic-thieves to rot in azkaban instead .Still,his rebellious attitudes got him in gryffindor .

Truth to be told ,James was quite a good friend. But Sirius had always placed his convictions over his feelings .It was a hard decision to make ,but when he was asked to join the death eaters ,he accepted .

Years later,he betrays James along with Pettigrew,for the Dark lord. But after His death,he decide to punish Pettigrew for having led their master to his doom .Pettigrew barely escape and Sirius is sent to rot to azkaban .

Years later,Sirius escape upon seeing the rat printed on a newspaper. But after nearly a year of a fruitless quest for revenge,he get cornered by Potter ,along with a weasley and some girl .But Sirius quick mind invent a story about him not being guilty,that Pettigrew was the only one to blame and that he was the one to give Potter his Firebolt. Potter,ever the gullible fool ,trust the story completely ,with Lupin being just as misled .

But of course ,Pettigrew flee so he stay just as guilty for the law ,and almost get kissed by the dementors .At least,Potter trust him .He would be able to help the Dark Lord better one day .

What would change ,with Umbridge being a good teacher of DADA,explaining very well how to face magical creatures and magical duels ?Not establishing that rule about wand-waving being forbidden

Does the DA even exist ?

Can harry convince other students of voldemort return when Umbridge appear much more legitimate ,thanks to being a good teacher ?

Does it eventually bites harry in the rear ,with the inquisitorial squad being stronger than in canon ?Perhaps allowing Crabbe and Goyle to enter Snape class next year ?

What does harry does with the free time gained from not having the DA,assuming it doesn’t exist ?

Any other consequences ?

As it turns out ,in this AU ,harry is a complete moron ,an arrogant dunderhead who frequently compete with Goyle for last place in his year .Barty has to ensure he win the tournament nonetheless.

After Ron sacrifice himself in the giant chess game ,he dies almost instantly.

Harry fails to find the Chambers of secrets in time .Ginny dies ,and when the chamber is later opened ,the aurors conclude that she was the Heir (otherwise how could she have entered ?).Arthur is discredited due to his daughter being found as the Heir ,and his Muggle Protection Act rejected .

Due to the weasleys not ever winning a lottery and mourning ginny ,they never go in a vacation to Egypt. Sirius Black ,seeing no rat on the newspaper ,stay at azkaban .Harry face a relatively boring year ,but barely lose the Quidditch cup due to lacking his Firebolt .

Due to Diary riddle fleeing from Hogwarts two years ago ,Voldemort has no need of Wormtail ,leading to Harry’s fourth year going roughly like canon .But Diggory is just a bit faster ,grabbing the cup an instant before harry .Tom riddle immediately stun Cedric (for killing another champion would bring unecessary heat ),but harry end up able to escape after Voldemort ressurection .He picks up Cedric while fleeing .With Cedric being the champion instead of Harry ,the Weasleys twins never obtain the necessary funds to start their business .

Arthur Weasley does not survive his encounter with Nagini,who opts to rip out his throat .Lupin end up used as bait for harry instead of Sirius Black .Meanwhile ,Percy was put under the imperius ,and forced to become a loyal pawn of the death eaters .

Bill Weasley is killed by Greyback instead of being merely mauled .

Finally ,Fred dies horribly in the battle of the five Potters ,with george following in Hogwarts after losing a duel against Percy .Molly barely gets to kill Bellatrix before falling to Lucius Avada kedavra .

In the chamber of secrets ,a satisfied Tom Riddle was watching the corpse of the "Boy-Who-Lived ". Tom riddle was mocking the arrogance of the brat who defied a basilisk and the heir ,releashing in victory,in at last finding back his freedom .But as he thought of what he would do next ,it struck him .His future self ... was an idiot .

He may have been great during the first war ,making the wizarding world tremble ,but becoming a wraith had clearly destroyed his faculties .After all,how else could he had failed to defeat a defenceless first year ?How could he take a year to break into the stone room ?Why hadn’t he still ressurected ?It was painful to recognise it,but if what the blood traitor had told him was true ,future him was a loser .So he would have to lead his followers himself .

Following that Tom riddle fled the chamber ,Basilisk in tow ,and went on a quest to find Voldemort’s follower and convince them to serve him instead .

Pettigrew was genuinely loyal to the order. But he was kidnapped by death eaters for information .They soon found out he was the Potters secret keeper ,leading to Pettigrew being tortured to make him tell the secret .After 3 weeks ,he did .

Either to ressurect the dark lord ,or because he want the stone for himself to study it/use it ,Snape decide that the philosopher stone shall be his .He doesn’t Quirell has voldemort on the back of his head .

How does the events change ?

Would Snape suceed ?

How horribly will harry be murdered assuming he reach the mirror room while Snape is in it ?

Let ́s say the seventh year is an hardcore blood purist ,who wants to become a death eater himself .Knowing Malfoy has beliefs similar to his ,and convinced of the dark lord return ,he ask Malfoy to see him in private,then ask him where to find the death eaters so he can join them .

How does Draco react ?

Let’s say that the cursed bludger had managed to hit him in the face ,crushing his skull and killing him instantly .

What happens next ?

Let’s say she had used the imperius defense to get rid of any responsability for her role in sending muggleborns to azkaban .The judges ,unable to prove she wasn’t under the imperius ,let her go .

So,what would Umbridge do of her life ?How long would she live ?

Here ́s my idea .Draco not wanting to be a death eater anymore ,goes to Dumbledore office. He say that in exchange of himself and his mother being protected ,and his father name being cleared (with him found to be under the imperius )and him protected as well ,he is willing to reveal his secret plan and help to do the death-eaters a crippling blow .Dumbledore ,thinking he could win big,accept .

Two weeks later ,after Mrs Malfoy was found dead in the family manor ,Draco tell the death eaters that the Vanishing Cabinet is ready ,and the time to strike is here .A group of death eaters,thinking Dumbledore ́s end is near,enthusiatically go to Hogwarts .....only for the vanishing cabinet to explode following the arrival of the last ,and be ambushed by three times their numbers in Aurors ,as well as Dumbledore .The death eaters squad is crushed ,being quickly neutralised and arrested .

How does Voldemort react to this calamitous ,catastrophic failure ?
