What if we created the “UTI Ender Cocktail!

Yo i might sound crazy but should we create the UTI Ender Cocktail? 😂😭

At this point, hear me out 😂

What if we as a community used AI + all the research + thousands of real patient experiences to figure out what actually causes this damn cycle and create a “UTI Ender Cocktail”?

Not another random supplement with 15 ingredients. 😭

Something specifically designed to END the recurrence cycle target whatever bacteria survive treatment, deal with persistence/biofilm/intracellular bacteria if those are actually driving recurrence, and help restore the bladder environment afterward.

Because I'm seriously tired of the cycle:

UTI → antibiotics → gut destroyed → anxiety → “is that a UTI?” → culture → another UTI → repeat. 😭

And honestly, the constant fear is almost as bad as the infection itself. Antibiotic resistance, gut imbalance, worrying about kidney damage in the future... it's exhausting.

Obviously, I'm not saying AI can magically invent medicine 😂 But there are SO many people here experiencing the same problem.

What if we started asking the RIGHT scientific questions instead of just accepting that recurrent UTIs are something we have to live with?

And if we actually figure it out...

UTI Ender Cocktail™ 😂💀

We'd have a massive market ngl AND we'd finally be helping a community that desperately needs something better.

Who's in? 😂

If you could put ONE thing in this hypothetical cocktail, what would you want it to target?

RECURRENT UTIs: A NEVER-ENDING NIGHTMARE WITH NO REAL SOLUTIONS

I AM SO EFFING DONE WITH THESE RECURRENT UTIs! ALL DOCTORS SEEM TO DO IS PRESCRIBE ANTIBIOTICS, AS IF THAT’S SOME MAGICAL SOLUTION. I’M HIGHLY RESISTANT TO POWERFUL ANTIBIOTICS, HIPREX DOESN’T GUARANTEE 100% PREVENTION, AND BIOFILM DISRUPTERS DON’T FUCKING SOLVE THE PROBLEM EITHER. HOW HARD IS IT FOR PEOPLE TO UNDERSTAND HOW MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY EXHAUSTING THIS IS? AND GOOGLE KEEPS SPITTING OUT THE SAME USELESS TEXTBOOK ANSWERS: “TAKE THE RIGHT ANTIBIOTICS,” “DRINK MORE WATER,” “MAINTAIN HYGIENE.” GODDAMMIT, I’VE TRIED SO MANY THINGS, AND I’M STILL STUCK IN THIS NEVER-ENDING CYCLE!

THE WORST PART IS THAT MY BLADDER HAS BECOME SO SENSITIVE FROM ALL THESE INFECTIONS THAT EVEN ON NON-UTI DAYS, I EXPERIENCE BLADDER SPASMS AFTER URINATING. NOW I CAN’T EVEN ENJOY THE DAYS WHEN I’M HEALTHY WITHOUT WORRYING ABOUT THE NEXT INFECTION. THE ANXIETY, THE FEAR, THE CONSTANT UNCERTAINTY. IT’S EFFING DRAINING.

WHY IS THERE NO RELIABLE, LONG-TERM PREVENTION? WHY ARE WE EXPECTED TO KEEP SUFFERING THROUGH THIS CYCLE WITH NO REAL SOLUTION? I DON’T WANT ANOTHER GENERIC ANSWER OR ANOTHER ROUND OF ANTIBIOTICS WITHOUT A PROPER PLAN. I JUST WANT MY BODY BACK, MY PEACE OF MIND BACK, AND A CHANCE TO LIVE WITHOUT CONSTANTLY FEARING THE NEXT EFFING UTI.

New bladder symptom after recurrent UTIs, has anyone experienced this?

Hi everyone. I’ve had around 7–8 recurrent UTIs over the past 1.5 years, and after these recurrent infections I’ve noticed a new symptom that I haven’t experienced before.

About 5 minutes after urinating, I sometimes get a sudden pinching/spasm sensation in the bladder area. It happens intermittently, usually around 4–5 brief episodes, and then seems to settle after I drink water. It feels very uncomfortable at times when I'm not at home and it happens or in the night after I urinate.

I’m wondering if this could be related to post-UTI bladder irritation, bladder spasms, or urethral irritation, but I haven’t been able to get a clear explanation from my urologists and there's no end to this😭

Has anyone with recurrent UTIs experienced something similar? If so, what was the cause and what helped you? I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences because I’m struggling to get a clear answer.

Should I start methenamine for recurrent UTIs? Looking for experiences from people with CUTI/recurrent UTI

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping to hear from people here who have experience with recurrent UTIs/CUTI and methenamine.

I’ve had around 7 UTIs over the past 1.5 years, and honestly, the possibility of getting another one has started making me anxious. I recently completed another antibiotic course, and my follow-up urine culture was negative, so as of now I’m clear.

My doctor has suggested that I start methenamine as a preventive treatment, potentially for several months, but I’m feeling very unsure about whether I should start it.

A few things are making me hesitant:

- I already have some acidity/stomach sensitivity, and I’m wondering whether methenamine causes any noticeable stomach inconvenience.

- I understand that methenamine is preventive rather than an antibiotic, but I also understand that it doesn’t guarantee that I won’t get a UTI while taking it.

- I’m worried about what happens if I still get a UTI despite taking it.

- I’ve also had an E. coli infection that was resistant to several antibiotics, which makes the thought of another infection particularly stressful for me.

- My main goal right now is simply to break this cycle of recurrent infections and avoid repeated antibiotics if possible.

For those of you who have actually taken methenamine:

  1. Did it significantly reduce your UTIs during the course and after the course if so how long?

  2. Did you experience stomach acidity, nausea, bladder irritation, or any other side effects?

  3. How did you feel while taking it compared with taking antibiotics?

  4. If you stopped after 6–12 months, did the UTIs stay away, or did they eventually return?

  5. Would you personally take it again?

  6. Is there anything you wish you had known before starting it?

I’m not looking for medical advice or a diagnosis. I’m specifically interested in real-life experiences from people who have taken methenamine for recurrent UTIs, especially people who have had frequent infections like I have.

I’m feeling quite anxious about having another UTI, so I’d really appreciate thoughtful and honest experiences, both positive and negative.

Thank you so much to anyone who takes the time to share.

Question about recurrent UTIs: if antibiotics clear the infection, why does it keep coming back?

I’m trying to understand something about recurrent UTIs.

Say you get UTI symptoms, have a urine culture done, and it comes back positive for E. coli. The culture shows which antibiotics the bacteria is susceptible to, so you take the appropriate antibiotic for the full prescribed course.

If the antibiotic successfully treats the infection, why do some people keep getting UTIs again and again?

Does a recurrent UTI mean that the original E. coli was never completely eliminated? Or can the original infection be completely cleared and then a new infection occur with E. coli coming from the gut/perineal area again?

And if it is a new infection, why are some people much more prone to recurrent UTIs than others even when they complete their antibiotics correctly?

I’m particularly curious about how doctors distinguish between relapse (same infection coming back) and reinfection (a genuinely new infection). Thank you in advance 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Recurrent UTIs with different bacteria + multidrug-resistant E. coli — how are you preventing recurrences?

Hi everyone, I’m 28F and dealing with recurrent UTIs. I’m unmarried, so sex is not a trigger in my case.

I had a about 7 UTI'S from December 2024 till today. Multiple strains like Candida/Klebsiella, mixed genital flora and E. coli once 50,000 then 100,000 CFU/mL. Mild candida galbrata growth on swab test. Cystoscopy is normal, Ultrasound is normal, Flow test is a borderline low and bladder emptying is normal. The culutre report in August described it as multidrug-resistant, with resistance to several commonly used antibiotics.😔😔😔

I’m really worried about this becoming a cycle of recurrent infections and increasing antibiotic resistance.

For people who have had recurrent, culture-confirmed UTIs (especially E. coli or different bacteria), what actually helped you reduce the number of infections long-term?

I’d especially love to hear from people who:

- Had recurrent UTIs without sex being a trigger

- Had different bacteria on different cultures

- Had antibiotic-resistant E. coli

- Found a prevention strategy that actually worked for them long-term

Did you identify a specific underlying cause? Did anything like increased fluids, cranberry, D-mannose, methenamine, probiotics, or another treatment make a meaningful difference?

I’m looking for personal experiences and what genuinely worked. not just general advice.p for Recurrent UTI'S.
